Allow sylvari glow change in hair kits
get a total makeover kit. thats what u want
i want to be able to change glow colour endlessly with my perma contract
I realize that it does affect your hair style/color choices, but it’s a full body feature, just like overall skin tone and patterns/tattoos. That’s why glow isn’t included.
Actually this isn’t completely true – all sylvari hairstyles are created with glow in mind, with glow patterns on particular hair spots/leaves/thorns/bark. So if change my hair, I also want to change it’s glow colour – not only daytime colour.
If they allowed the hair kit to change the glow then they would have to allow the hair kit to change Norns tattoos, Asuran skin markings or the markings on Charr fur. Glow, tattoos, and skin markings are all the same thing, just on different species.
ANet may give it to you.

For once, I’m not wrong? You are incorrect. I had another post that was right, 5 months, 12 days, and 4 hours ago. (I know the exact date because I marked it down on my calendar so I could celebrate it each year with a big party).
ANet may give it to you.
It was 6 months 12 days, wrong yet again.
Two wrongs don’t make a right, but three lefts do

Noooooo. I’ve already sent out invitations and ordered the cake.

(Wild enthusiastic applause)
Thank you kind sir. Thank you. We can only hope that one day you too will be right (besides the one time you agreed with me). ^^

That would actually be, well, perfectly fine. Combine this change with some silly promotion that increases the drop rate of perma hair change contracts from chests for a week and key sales would go through the roof. I bet it would more than make up for lost revenue from total makeover kits.
Also if that ever happens I expect someone to send me a perma contract for free for coming up with such a brilliant idea (i guess you can send the guy i quoted one too for being so right all the time)

Maybe they could come up with a variation of the Guild Wars 1 system. What they did there was an NPC who you spoke to and he allowed you to view changes to your char without needing a kit like this game. You bought the hair changes or body changes from the store and he took that store credit when you finalized the changes.
What might be a better system is if gw2 didn’t have 2 kits but separate charges. X gems for a hair change. Y gems for one change to the body. You talk to the NPC, view the options and make the changes, finalize it and he takes the gems. Make it cheap enough and people will use these a lot to make small changes to their char.

Sylvari don’t get an accessory for their, er, ‘hair’, do they? all other races can config the colour of some other aspect of their hair, but sylvari just get to choose their foliage colour.
While it does affect the entire body, you still wouldn’t be able to re-select the pattern of the glow, just its colour, so it would be more like allowing a hairstyle kit to change tattoo/fur/skin marking colour (which would also be a fine addition, imo)
It’s not just a hair thing so it wouldn’t make sense to do this.
I think the fundamental point is that the hair kit functionality can create a situation in which hair colors don’t match other things. Should ANet change this? I dunno, seems like a lot of work for the benefit. On the other hand, it would make a lot of people happy, whether they have the infinite-use kit or the finite ones.

Sylvari don’t select a glow pattern. They select a glow color and stength, the pattern is identical for all of them on the body, and is baked in to the face and hair textures.

That’s not quite true – the body types are divided into two sets of four, each having a different glow pattern
Glow is on the body setting, not the hair, thus you don’t get it in the hair kit.
