Although I have leveled all eight of the jobs to level 80, I find that the only one that really sees any real use is my main. There are to many detractors from playing my other toons. Its not that I haven’t geared them. I have. Almost all of them have fully ascended trinkets and exotic weapons and armor. My main is the only one who has gotten Legendary/Ascended weapons. Even that isn’t an issue.

I remember back when we could run a dungeon once per toon per day. I would actually load up the other seven to run it with them. I am not per say saying we go back to this, but it did give an excuse to play them.

I do alot of high level fractals and play a decent amount of world vs world. I know from experience reading post that Anet likes everything to be character based. This is why we earn world experience per toon. I am even ok with that.

However what would be a nice change is to see my fractal level be account bound. Since it would be nice to play something else in there, but it would take a while to re-level another toon up to the level my main is at. Even dungeons, it would be nice if we only had to unlock explore-able once per account. Sometimes I just don’t want to play my main, and despite the game being out a year, alot of people still haven’t done the story missions to allow for a dungeon to be unlocked. Sadly I feel penalized for their laziness every time I get a pug and go back to my main to open the dungeon.

I do not believe in account bound weapons, or account bound dye usage. But I feel like certain things are achievements. For example story mode, I don’t get more points when I complete it with another toon.

It would just be a nice change of pace to play some of my other toons a bit someplace other then on the world map where they are camping a nod or a jumping puzzle.

For me it’s simply too much (gear-)grind to play alts. I don’t like playing alts anyway, so my point of view might be biased.

I mostly played them to get a feel for how each one worked in WvW and PvP. I feel that having played though with them at least once it helped with my understanding of the game, and how to counter certain builds. That said, now that they are leveled it would be nice to have another use for them.
