I just rolled a new engineer alt and the loot drops I am getting is like night and day compared to my 80.

Lately I have not gotten more then 10 or so badges an hour on my 80 necro on a good day, but it feels like every time I turn around I am being showered with badges on my level 23 engineer. Last session I got 30 in one hour and the rate seemed to be very constant. The amount of loot I am getting on my engineer is also off the charts compared to my 80 who barely gets any kind of drops anymore (even with 200% magic find).

So it got me thinking, is there some kind of permanent DR that continues to increment as you play each char? Thats what its feeling like on my 80, pretty much no matter what I am doing my rewards are close to zero besides what I get for completing an event. It feels like my loot is getting worse and worse each day on my 80.

My necro mainly does WvW and events around Orr/Frostgorge and various other zones I am working on for map completion. I havn’t done anything that would qualify as “farming” in several weeks after I got full exotics.

Anyone have an idea what is causing this?

I’ve noticed this, too. My lvl 80 Necro barely drops any colored item even while stacking MF. My rerolled ranger was dropping blues and greens like candy without magic find.

I am going to do more testing tonight since they made changes to DR on Sundays patch. I have only played my engineer since the patch.

It’s so disappointing how little drops my L80 Mesmer gets from DEs. Arenanet needs to really fix this.

Wonder if MR items can ‘roll around’ and cause LESS to drop?
