What I normally know them by is DoTs, i’m putting this out there if I refer to it and cause confusion.
Anyways, I do see the problem within PvE where they are basically kitten because of the 25 stack issue. But I don’t see anything of the sort in PvP, so i’m wondering what all is going to happen, really excited. But I also wonder, how much better will they be, because if they’re on-par with beserker then I don’t really seen a reason to go beserker, unless it’s plain out for speed. I don’t find that one stat can do what three can do all that fair; unless the time it takes for dots to tick would balance this.
I find it interesting that condition damage has it’s own stat, for example Dire seems like it would be incredibly good if (please note that I said if.) you do the same dps as a beserker, but be vastly good tank. I do hope that this isn’t the case or i’m missing something, I also see that there’s a combination of Condition, Precision, and Power named Sinister. Which leaves me really puzzled; wouldn’t it make sinister the best for raw dps, saying well if you were a high condition class like Engineer, Elementalist, or a Necromancer.
Which of course brings another topic to mind some classes do conditions better than others, so i’d really like to see how this would all favor each class. What I think will happen is one combination is going to be godlike for one class and not just that. Meta going from what I consider simple DPS, being Power, Critical, and Critical damage, which is relevant in majority of games. To more Condition/DoT meta down to just one class with certain combination becoming the meta, because it can dish out more then the rest, while being more tank or whatever option that gets taken.
But anyways, that’s all i’ve been thinking about past couple of days, really excited to dive into it, especially in PvP. I’m more then sure ArenaNet has already thought of this, or it’s crossed their minds, so I believe it will be a blast. However it’s always nice to hear what other people are thinking, or i’m missing something.
Post was made because I found nothing relevant to it, sorry if this is the wrong place.
DoT – Damage over time.
