Am I right?

You could hope that the monthly updates bring new stuff, or that the living story would finally stop being so dead.

in my opinion you had no reason to play this game at all. curious what are you doing here?
You need a new goal. Why not legendaries? That will keep you occupied for a long time.
Or how about learn all classes and get them to 80? Contribute in WvW (get in your server’s mumble and coordinate, it’s a totally different experience)

Okay. This MMO does not have any more or less end game content than other MMOs.
- run dungeons
- get skins
- run fractals
- finish your story (spoiler – the last part of it is Arah story mode)
- level an alt
- do WvW or Spvp (it’s weird to me that you got in a game that’s heavily based on PvP even though you don’t like PvP)
- do jumping puzzles and find them all!
- do achievements
- get all the pets
Now also ask yourself what would you be doing in other MMOs? Running raids to get the best gear? Then what? If you find that the game does not interest you anymore put it away and do something else for a while.
So… what exactly was in Guild Wars that didn’t involve PvP or grinding for new armor or weapon skins? I haven’t played in awhile… don’t recall anything…
if you finished the story
if you did 100% map.
have all your wanted exotic / runes / sigil
if you have all 8 crafting skills at 400
if you did all explorable path of the 8 dungeons one time each.
and all FotM mini dungeons.
and you dont want to pvp and dont want to wvwvw.
and you dont want to do an alt.
dude, you played 400h+ without a single grind. gratz.
So I hit 80 and can’t finish my personal story(which is not so personal as we all know. ) with out a group yet I can do a battle my own……. But any way. Once I finish mapping the world what is there to do other than grind dungeons and legendary’s? I have no interest in PvP or doing achievements. I feel there is very little to do in this game compared to guild wars. I’m in full exsotics and have levelled my crafting to 400. So that’s out too. So unless I want to grind. I can’t see what else there is to do.
Do you remember the things available to do when Gw1 was just launched ? No..Theres wasnt much to do besides completing the game and doing all the missions etc ( wich was great fun, thats not my point ).It started to get Really interesting after each expansion…
People miss a lot of content as a result of the nature of DEs. I spend hours and days playing low/mid-level zones lately. So many fun events, so much information to uncover.
The only gripe I have is, that after nearly half a year, my personal story is still not advancing. Time to give me some more “This is my story!” pretty please.

This^^^
If all you do is PvE and don’t like the dungeons you are missing out on 3/4 of the game. I didn’t think I would like WvW at first but now it is where Ispend most of my time, I would give it a shot for a couple weeks to get into it, at first it is overwhelming but after a while it is a ton of fun.
Have you completed all SM dung and all of the Explorables? Have you found and completed all of the JP’s? Do you have all your crafing profs to 400 or just 2? Have you run fractals to 20+? I have never played a game where there is so much to do that does not require grinding.

What exactly were you doing in Guild Wars that you can’t find in Guild Wars 2?
Let’s start with builds. How many builds do you have? Having all exotics doesn’t mean anything, having multiple sets, for multiple builds, is very helpful and is something every GW1 player did anyway.
Second on the list, skins, getting the best looking gear was another “end-game” for GW1, do you have the coolest looking armor/weapon in GW2? From your post I’d guess not, so there is a lot for you to do in that regard. There are good looking skins that don’t require a grind.
Next on the list, finishing the story/dungeons. If you don’t have Dungeon Master achievement, that’s a good long term goal that doesn’t require grinding, and it is also fun to do. Having some alts to see the different storylines (at least up to 30 for each race – 5 chars) and up to 40 for each of the three orders, is another option for actually completing the storyline.
What else were you doing in GW1?
Well, I’d say do what other people do with their CONSOLE games, reroll and play again.
Others have stated it quite nicely. If you don’t want to explore all the game has to offer, that is on you.
Notice the title of the game. It tickles me that people purchase this game and don’t seem to be able to make a connection between the title and the main focus of the game.
Tons of content has been put into this game. if you choose to take a deck of cards and play solitaire with only one suit, well your game is going to end faster and feel lacking.
I’d suggest leveling an alt of a completely different play style and race from your main. You’d be surprised at how many DE’s and things you miss the first time around even if you have 100% map completion. The world is currently full of people leveling alts. I have a level 30 mesmer and there are a ton of people in the world all the time.

I don’t own a console so I don’t know what your getting at there. And you seem to have missed that I said I played guild wars. I played the original a lot. I enjoyed replaying the story with alts. I have a total of 12 alts in guild wars. I didn’t play PvP in guild wars and I never felt that I missed out.
Thanks for all the ideas all. I have the skins I like. I’ve not see anything I like more yet. I have also unlocked all the skills. It was the first thing I did. I’m playing a warrior is I only need realistically 2 armour sets. One for spike damage and one for damage over time eg condition damage. I could start work on my damage over time gear. As for levelling other crafting that’s what alts will be for. But I didn’t enjoy levelling crafting so I will probably just sell all the mats I get when I do start my alts.
Yes there is a tone of content. But until they make doing the other dungeons worth while doing in Story mode I’ll not find a group to do them any time soon on my server. Everything seems to be about fractals. The fact I can’t finish my ps with out a group is what’s really getting my back up. At least in guild wars if you didn’t have anyone wanting to do what you wanted you could take the NPC’s.

use gw2lfg.com
its the unnofficial yet, offical, way to find a group in gw2.
the devs use it.
- Filling Out Achievements and Title Tracks – This played a big part in GW.
- Reroll and choose a different storyline – Although you end up at the same place, choosing different stories for your character (picking Iron Leigon instead of Blood when you create your character, for example) will cause you to experience a different story.
- Exploration – On your new toon, turn off all map icons, and aim for 100%
- Story Mode Dungeons – Worth it for the story of Destiny’s Edge and the cinematics, IMO.
- Weapons – There’s more variety than armour IMO. The best looking are created in the Mystic Forge
