No one in my guild participated because the event did not start on our overflow but 2 members got the mail with a chest.

on a side note: couple of guys I know got to loot the chest AND got the mail. Right now they’re sitting on upwards of 1kG on account of scoring 3 precursros.

In my overflow (on Whiteside Ridge), the Boss got stuck in the wall, where it was unkillable – every time its health dropped to 75% it would just bounce back to 100%. It wouldn’t move out of the wall on account of people continuing to attack it for literally hours – despite others shouting at them in every chat and even whispers, in multiple languages, to stop attacking and back off – to try and get it out of the wall.

And of course there was a steady stream of new arrivals (most of them fresh from other overflows I expect, and probably already looted the event more than once)… to ensure that it remained under attack (and stuck) the whole time.

Eventually the new build arrived… everybody got kicked out of the game… and nobody in that overflow got anything – regardless of how long they’d been there or how much they’d participated.

Am I going to submit a ticket? I don’t think so – I wasn’t much bothered in the first place, I just chalked it up to “that’s life”… and I’m way past caring at this point. I wasn’t planning on grinding out a legendary, so the chance of a legendary precursor is no great loss.

Also, even if I got the mail it seems I’d still be two or three rewards behind most other people – so, I don’t think the “solution” really addresses any perceived imbalance or unfairness. I’m not particularly bothered, but I’m sure it must be quite infuriating for others in the same situation.

Submitted a ticket on Sunday per Gaile Grey’s instructions and still have not received the chest/mail.

Submitted ticket per Gaile’s instructions as well. This was a couple days ago. Got response that I was not eligible to receive the Karka box… Co-worker I invited for the free weekend went nowhere near Lost Shores the entire time. He decided to purchase the game a few days after the event. He received a Karka box in his e-mail… Not sure what the heck they are looking at as far as eligibility goes…

I submitted a ticket few days ago and got mine about day after ticket. If you still have not gotten it try that.

Still got nothing, I wrote to the support and:

Hello,

At this time, we have finished delivering the rewards for the Lost Shores event to all accounts that qualified and had not already received the chest. This was done through a coding script for any account found to have qualified for the chest and those added by development for special situations. If you have not received a chest then you most likely did not meet the requirements to have these items added to your account.

Now that said there does also appear to be some issues with the mail system. It seems mail boxes are getting stuck and not receiving new mails even when they are not full. So I would suggest clearing out everything in that mail box; after making sure to grab any items or money in there. That should allow more room for those pending mails to arrive. We have heard some cases where only deleting a few mails still didn’t allow the pending mails to arrive properly (for example some players may even show 1 out of 10 mails but still won’t get new ones). So I would again suggest making sure everything has been deleted in there, just to make sure there is nothing at all preventing the mails from being received.

As this was done through an automated process we have no way to manually award this chest. So if after you empty your mail the chest still doesn’t arrive, then your account was not found to have qualified for a restoration and I’m afraid you will not receive the chest.

Thanks anet, some people got 3 or 4, some others got one without even partecipating at the event or being logged in at the time, and people who got disconnected during it like me get NOTHING.
Way to go.

I asked them again via support and:

Hi there;

We are very sorry to hear you still have not received a chest. Development did actually make concessions for all special cases when they did another round of chest rewards though, and at this time though they have sent out all the chests they are going to send. Since this was all handled on the development side of things, if you haven’t received a chest now, then I’m afraid you will not receive one. We don’t have a way on our end of things to send these out. So while we understand your frustration I’m afraid we don’t have a way to provide you with a chest if one wasn’t sent to you.

The server I was on had a bug where the first kraka would reset his hp so I couldn’t do the event chain.
