From the Game Update notes:
“7-series golems caused excessive damage…”

I love this line. The wording just makes me think of Golems beginning an uprising against their technological overlords. Sure, they were beaten back this time. But time, as ever, marches on.

And the Golems are good at waiting…

If by “excessive” they mean that you could destroy gates in WvW mode…. then, yeah, the Series 7 was doing excessive damage.
