Anet BLTC Typo or False Advertising?
This has been brought up before, but I do believe the actual price might be 2880, therefore a 44% savings off of that number. The strikethrough might make the 2880 look like 2000.

You’ll also notice that the 8’s are slimmer than the 0 when looking at what was striked through.

Base gem price is 2,880, not 2,000.
The real question is: when has this item NOT been on sale?
The real question is, who in world buys such an item?

It is on sale until you buy one, a one-time deal so to speak.
Ohhhhhh they are 8’s. That make a whole lot of sense

Interesting question actually. I don’t know about Washington state where Anet is located but in California it is illegal to advertise something as a, “Sale,” price unless it has been priced at some normal price within the previous (I honestly don’t remember if its 30 or 90 days, but I can check my documentation when I return to work next week). This is why many companies will use different verbiage such as, “mark down,” or, “price reduction.”

It’s the same with the “free shipping gimmick”
Item cost $14.99; shipping is 4$. Seller lists as $19.99 + free shipping.
Umh. It is a special offer price for your first purchase. Those who have bought it are seeing the full price. So, it is always on sale until you buy one.

Actually it wouldn’t fall under any state’s laws. What Anet is selling, for the purposes are law, are gems. You’re using gems, which is not a legal currency to buy other things, which means the retail laws for sales don’t apply.
I’m relatively certain this is the case.
