Is this twitter page official?

Reason I’m asking is because its creating expectations within the community. Since that tweet is up people are starting to think that you guys are going to unlock the Tengu area soon. Its wise to either confirm or deny these reports because for one they’re splitting the community up and creating unnecessary arguments (whether its real or not). Secondly if you disappoint people will be mad at you, even if its not you saying it. Although I love that someone is doing it, I don’t think it will work well for you in the long run if they start hinting at future content and it not be true in the long run.

And forum mods/reds lied quite a lot about many things from lore to balance and hotfixes.

Well I’m glad it is not official, if the next LS was powered by the same people running the twitter accounts I would be seriously worried.

I think it’s confirmed that Scarlet’s was official due to the release of a screenshot of the current patch before it was released…but yes 100% confirmation doesn’t hurt

That’s a shame. I liked her tweet about the rocket dolyaks and half expected to see a protoype in game

I never thought about this before. There are a handful of MMO sites that get teaser/spoiler information, as well as early access to events on the test servers. Maybe Dulfy is having a little fun on the side?

I don’t think Corporal Bane’s twitter ever stated to be fan-made. I don’t think it needs to be either, and I doubt many people who’d think of making such up (there’s a lot of such folks) would bother.

I don’t think Corporal Bane’s twitter ever stated to be fan-made. I don’t think it needs to be either, and I doubt many people who’d think of making such up (there’s a lot of such folks) would bother.

Could just mean it hasn’t happened yet because technically this patch isn’t in the past, it’s still live content, and Scarlet is around.

But yeah, nonetheless I still think it is very entertaining, and definitely like RPers and how they get into character so much

I assumed they meant they’re not ran by ArenaNet, they’re ran by the characters. Because @Lord_Vanquish and JF.

Personally, I don’t think they should do it because in-game characters using Twitter is a pretty big disconnect, which is why they shouldn’t admit it.

They don’t technically need a “Yes” if they agree to never admit to it.

Personally I think there’s definitively someone in the know running at least some of the twitter accounts, whether it’s from a fanzine, press site, someone inside Anet running them on their own, or someone hired by either Anet or NCSoft to do some extra viral marketing on the side, mainly because of Scarlet’s picture that was tweeted before the living story release, and the fact that Lord Vanquish’s one was the first one to hint of SAB returning, IIRC just a few days before it was announced.
