Ascended Armor.
It already was stated that the power buff will be needed to finish future dungeons.
While I don’t like it, that’s something I can accept.

Allowing better stronger gear in WvW doesn’t improve the gameplay!
In the end most one guy will have 300 more attack, while the other one has 300 more def.
Only two things happen:
1.)The gap between upleveled characters and Ascended increases, damaging the balance even further.
2.)People are forced into geargrind to stay competitive
While, I repeat, gameplay doesn’t improve at all.

Sure sPvP and WvW are splitt, but in the end WvW was supposed to be “the” PvP for your PvE character*s*.

So please:
Why enable Ascended gear for WvW and not let it stay PvE-only?

I don’t want another discussion about Ascended Gear, there are other topics for that.
I just don’t get the reasoning behind this step and ’ld like to have it explained by somebody official.

WvW was a mix between PvE and PvP.
sPvP was high end PvP.
So why not make Ascended high end PvE and
let WvW stay a mix both parties can take place.

It’s like you’ld say “You mustn’t play WvW, unless you rank up at least twice a month in sPvP”

Because pinks are the new standard and while they are a bump up in points, at least for now, you won’t be able to catch more treb shots with your face or knock down a reinforced door with your weapons all that much faster.

WvW has always been about zergs and clever siege deployment anyway.

Well none of the players no the reason. But i for one am glad this will be in WvW. It’s very rare on my server you have a 1v1 match in WvW, so it wouldn’t really make that much of a big deal.
