Hello,

So something that i think Gw2 can really take the gold home on is its open world! This game has the opportunity on making this games open world ground breaking in the MMO genre. Instead you guys take short cuts or simply don’t seem to invest a lot into it/concentrate on it in patches.

There are small events in the game in which if they received any attention or more events like that, it could make this game great. Some of my favorites are releasing the trapped flesh reaver in lornars pass, or Karka the undying in malchors leap. These events are really fun to start.

The living story is another area. A everchanging world? Sounds awesome! But instead we get a story in which the players just watch. We killed some stuff, watch a few cut scenes, and repair signs. Make a living story that involves the players heavily! A living story that is progressed by the PLAYERS not a time constraint. You have an entire language in the game, you have ruin exploring, mini dungeons, jumping puzzles, emote driven events, meta events, etc. Why not making a living story that combines all these in order for players to progress, then in the end it unlocks a zone or a dungeon for the entire server!

Years from now the vetern players could look back on zones that people are playing in and say “I helped open this place to the server. I solved the mystery” etc.

“The players can venture into a deep dwarven mini dungeon in search of an artifact that is a key to opening a door that could hold the answer to stopping the molten alliance. They must fight through challenging open world boss fights to get to the end of this ruin and get the artifact…but wait! Who knows where the door is? They must consult the priory archives to find clues to the doors location, translate some ancient ascalonian!”

That would have been far more interesting, community drivine, and player involvement then introducing a new set of characters and having people repair sign post and kill waves of enemies. When I was on a team looking for the drop location for Final Rest, scouring ruins and translating things and trying to solve what we thought were puzzles was the best fun I’ve ever had in this game.

So anet, you guys can make this game ground breaking, the open world and living story could be the key that can make this game amazing!

ANET needs money to do these things and seeing as how this is a B2P game maybe after a few more millions game sales they can/will do something and I say for starters upgrading their servers to a better Internet backbone for starters.

Blackgate Megaserver – [LaZy] Imperium of LaZy Nation
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger

Well they’ve sold what, 4-5 million copies? Thats quite a lot I would think.

I would have honestly bought gems ages ago if there were more options for serious players. The armors are cool, but they should start importing Gw1 armors and putting them into the gem shop. If they had done that, I probably would have bout 40$ worth of gems by now. But instead we get these toy back packs, some boosters, and minis. I mostly do sPvP and open world PvE and I’m more inclined to keep a serious look to my character, so none of the things they’ve released on the gem shop have any interest to me.

If they are really short for money I would disable the ability to convert gold to gems or decrease the instances where people can farm (hearing people make 10g by doing dungeon speed runs or “making 20-30g an hour” doing farming/TP manipulation just means it is really easy for hardcore players to afford this stuff.

Maybe add more instances where people would want to use town clothes. Things like that.
