Guild Wars 2

I found an app on the android market that allows you to chat With people in GW2 without being logged in. I know there was an app that did this for guild Wars but it wasn’t sanctioned by arena net and using it could get your account banned. So is this app safe to use or does it fall under the same rules as the GW1 app?

Same rules apply since its a third party program.

I wouldnt trust it if it needs my user name and password any way, might be giveing it right to a gold farmer

Just tested it, just in case. It’s a “fake” chat. It’s the equivalent of using some random messenger or chat room program. It doesn’t actually make you login or show in-game chat.

Well either way it seems the app no longer exists so this question is null & void.

Don’t use any third party apps for this stuff. Anet announced a long time ago about plans for their own app but haven’t heard anything about it for a while.

A few of the things they talked about for it were a map where you could see where your friends are on it and you could show them where to go and had guild and friend chat as well as other things.

But i really hope we get some new news on the app soon, it was the reason i bit the bullet on getting a tablet. Was on the fence about getting one for a while but when they announced the app i picked up the sony tablet s when it came out.
