Anet please do Pre-order/founder Beta.
weird =/
Nobody should be paying up front to alpha/beta test a game and this is a mentality that needs to go away.
200-300?! Don’t give them ideas!
I’d pay for something like this though… only not that much. More like $20-50 maybe?
I probably wouldn’t play the HoT Beta unless they paid me. What’s the point? You get to essentially do free work for them, and experience a bunch of content you’ll have already seen when it’s released…

It’s the best when they’re “early access,” and you get to pay full price to play a completely broken game until the developers run out of money.

+1. Stop gamecrash 2.0
A beta for people who pre-order the expansion would be fine, but the game may very well be in open beta by the time they get pre-orders and an actual release date set up anyway. So there’d be no need for it at that point.
Paying JUST to get into the beta would be silly, though.
