Problem: Anyone done the quest and found the mob, Frostblast?

Enter the lava in the volcano in Mount Maelstrom – Probably Easy

This chest is a very nice idea for mini. Reminds me of The Luggage from Discworld. Rest in peace Sir Terry Pratchett.

It’s an interesting quest and honestly I’d like to see more of this mini pet quest thing. however, still need help locating the mob “Frostblast” been scouting the north of Wayfarer foothills and can’t seem to find the mob.

Guides have been posted, including on Dulfy, but the quick answer is yes, Frostblast has been found. It spawns on the east side of the ice elementals area immediately south of the big Svanir ice fort. Apparently it then roams, I don’t know where, I joined someone who found it dead and it popped up there a few minutes later.

Entering the lava is easy as long as you can get to it inside 5 minutes. If you have fast loading screens, port to the volcano wp and run to the closest part of the lava. If you don’t, then don’t risk it being contested, port to Sootberme on the west side and run north then east up the hill to the upper entrance to the volcano and down to the flat area where you defend a laser in the boss event. Hop in the lava there (I did, and it worked for me). Get a popup text, hop out of the lava, enjoy your new mini.

I happen to watch the BogOtter record a video on this today during his Twitch stream. He found it (well his army did) in relative short order north of the road between Snowden Drifts and Diessa Plateau.

Basically a new Vet Ice Elemental stomping around up there, really shouldn’t be difficult to find except everyone who bought the “not a mimic” pet (because it’s adorable) is also hunting a killing him so you may have to wait around for him to respawn.

Just remember to have the pet out when you kill him and then waypoint down to bathe in lava because you only have 5 minutes once you get the frost buff.
