Am I the only one who desperately wants this armor? It is truly a magnificent armor. It’s such a shame for it to be wasted. Countess Anise is wearing a slightly different version of it and I like her ones better, but this one is awesome as well. Why can’t we have it? We can already dress like all members of Destiny’s Edge, so I think it’s not about Anise’s uniqueness. To be honest, I like Anise a lot more than DE despite her small role and would like to wear her clothes, but above of all, I would like to wear something elegant and this armor is an essence of elegance. I just felt that this needs its own support thread, so if anyone of you reading this would also like for this armor to become available to players, don’t ignore it and let everyone know that you want it. Discuss wether it should become available or not.

I’ve wanted it (and to know what the blue dye color it was) when they first showed her character model all those years ago. I could swear they said it would be available in game when people asked about it then, but it still isn’t
Actually, it would fit very well for a new human cultural, but I know that many other races would also like to wear this, so maybe gem shop is a better solution.

I can understand the Feeling of sick when it comes to a lot of female strip armor’s , and i would realy like to see some female characters with elegant armor so thumbs up for that!
I’d like to see it in the game, since it was one of the armors that was said to be available prior to launch, and also because it’s an update of a GW1 mesmer outfit.

I thought of that too.
But really, by now, who are we kidding ? They could have take the Elite Kurzick male and tweak it a little, like the female, but they didn’t.
Maybe they had to find something for Heavy and medium too, but if this was the case it would have been released on the shop by now. Anet has shown us they didn’t see a reason to release gem shop armor (Flamekissed, Zodiac).
Anyway, it’s amazing how the 2 light armor set I really wanted got cut…(this one and the dress. I loved the Orrian, but they completely ruined it in-game).

It would be hard to release it since Anet will need to create it for other races and gender first. It would be really good if they could provide us with a response to whether or not there are any plans to release this in the future.
Well, they had time creating Zodiac Armor for every race no one is actually wearing. :P They could pretty easily do the same with this, especially when it was said to be available to players long time ago and still isn’t, although many people wish it was and would buy it from the gemstore in a heartbeat. If not so, it could serve well as a new cultural for humans. They would only need to make a male version of it, but as I have mentioned before, lots of other races would like to wear it as well, but yet that’s a better possibility than not releasing it at all.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.

Haha! It’s just that previous armour skins on other races were the male version which looks extremely ugly/tacky imo. Hopefully the male counterpart will look just as good as the female version!
Doh! Oh, tell me that doesn’t remind you of the original GW 1 Mesmer attire? Why do some of these NPCs have better outfits than we do? Anise be out there looking all sexy and here we casters are stuck in Exalted Armor…

I’ll gladly add my voice in support of this armor wherever it’ll be heard.
I think it’s relevant to point out how the armor of arguably the most crucial NPCs are available already. All of Destiny’s Edge, most of the “Biconics” and even Scarlet’s Magitech armor is available for the players to wear. It’s a shame that such a unique piece is kept locked away on a minor personal story character.
Off topic: Several NPC town clothes (particularly worn by human female nobles) would be nice additions to the light armor selection as well.

I don’t know if it’s just me or this game is full of lies? xD Well… Not the game itself, but the promos. Anise’s Coat was in the mesmer trailer. I mean, when someone doesn’t know the game and he/she will do some research on the internet, find the mesmer trailer and think “Oh, that’s beautiful. I am going to buy the game for this.” and then… You are forced to run around in a bra or a bag instead of the armor he/she saw on the mesmer trailer. :c The other “lie” I found quite silly is that on the Anniversary trailer there was a sylvari wearing human cultural (T2). xD

Welcome to GW2 where a lot of promo images didn’t make the cut. From armor, to environments (old LA, old Arah dungeon entrance) to monsters (Leviathan).
While I can understand environment designs changing overtime, I can’t understand how an armor gets completely cut from the game, especially Anise’s coat because it was in the mesmer preview video, the last preview video.
I dare say that most of the currently available armors would fit into “lingerie” category a lot more than this.
Let’s not exaggerate. There are only a handful of sets you could, maybe more if you were a nun who lived in convent for 70 years, consider to be lingerie.
I do not know what is worse then… Lingerie or nun clothing. We have only two elegant sets. T2 human cultural and PvE Masquerade, but the second one on females is quite revealing as well, though the elegance of this armor makes it look a little classy despite this fact. Wish there was at least one corset to wear. :/
Oh I fully agree on that. Masquerade could have been better it it was a closed dress and I’d love T2 if :
-the skirt wasn’t so exaggeratedly big behind
-there wasn’t an inch of skin in the back between the skirt and the top
I would prefer something closer to Jennah’s gown. There is a startling lack of closed long dresses and skirts. Most of them are open in front or on the side. While I like some of those armor pieces, I wish there were more outfits closer to TA light armor except slightly lengthier, with exposed shoulders, and nicer footwear. :p
There are precious few light armors I would describe as regal. IMO this armor doesn’t make the cut either. I wouldn’t object to its inclusion, but I’d really like to see ANet branch out from the sexy mini dress aesthetic more.
There are actually a lot of armors NPCs have that I want, but Anise’s armor has been and always will be my favourite. I can’t explain why. I just want it.
