Well ANet has failed the players yet again.

I found myself left behind yet again in the GW2 gameplay and experience in the recent ONE-TIME EVENT!

Like most ppl that play GW2, I have to earn a paycheck, yep real work in the real world. Others were busy with their normal housekeeping and others were just busy.
As the pre-set date and time of the finale event came and went most of us thought “That’s fine, I’ll catch it in three hours like ANet did for EVERY EVENT PRIOR!

So three hours passed, and nothing… no reset… another three hours, still nothing… at this point there was overflow after overflow of players waiting in the boss area for a rerun of the finale… but nothing came. This was a BIG letdown…

So the people that were at the event were pinging their loot and showing off their stuff while the majority of the players were like outcasts. ANet should be ashamed. They say that they want to provide a top of the line game for the players and want to keep the players happy, but time after time again, the players are let down and left high and dry.

I don’t know who is in charge of the events and workings of the GW2 world, but they should be fired. They have lost touch with the majority of the players. Not everyone can take the time for one moment of any particular day to participate in an event. That’s were instance reset was a big hit in GW1. People can log on at their own free time and still have the fun and experience that all the other player have had.

But at the current rate the players feel more like the people waiting in a long line out in the cold for the next IPhone or what have you, just to be told on release time that there are only ten to be sold.

THE ICING ON THE CAKE is that my friends who I invited to play and participate in the event, were left with the impression that GW2 was an “Only for Elite Players” game. Basically people who have no lives and just spend all their time online, leeching off welfare or their parents. (Not to be confused by the disabled that actually need these services.)

So what is the point of the events if only a select few can participate? The ANet programmers seem to be pretty bad at their programming, it seems that every event, crashes, LAG, new builds and glitchy mini events, seem to dominate the game. It’s almost like the rushed release of Windows Vista.
The servers are starting to get annoying too, I happen to be in an “Overflow” on day two for the offensive against the Karka. IT took over an hour for the game to finally move on and catch up with the main servers. ANet apparently tweeted that they were spreading the load, but the fact here is that the current servers being used are inadequate for the current player load. You would think that with the amount of cash that anet is making on selling BL Keys and other stuff that they would expand or upgrade the service.
The bottom line here is that ANet needs to wake up and start addressing the obvious issues. Listen to the players and fix the problems. Things like the Cost of the Black Lion Trading Items need to be lowered. Whne you have Millions of BLchests for sale and everyone complaining that the keys are too expensive, it should be apparent that an adjustment needs to be done. 5 Gems per Key maybe!?!? That would balance things out. Just Saying.

Just saying again. Can’t stand the one-time events.
