Another thing Anet should be doing!
This is good, I can see some interesting positive impact from such a “small” change as automating warning messages within 10 minutes after a report.
I personally don’t feel GW2 has this kind of issue though. If we’re going to compare, by personal experience, LoL’s community toxicity versus GW2’s is, well, non comparable. In the last year or so I don’t recall any need to report a player(other than gold sellers etc). Of course, just because I don’t get it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen at all, but GW2’s community is far more enjoyable, and perhaps not needing such a strict measure.
Out of curiosity though, what do you perceive as “disruptive players in GW2”
Hmm, letting people know you’ve been reported would be a good way of saying “hey, cool your jets”. It would really depend on how many players care about getting reported and if they value the negative effect being reported has on their account.

Try playing a couple of games of ranked PvP.
So, does this mean players can report just anyone, willy-nilly? Does the message appear whether the report has merit or not? If it only appears when merited, then what real difference is there between that and what we have now? Both would require a CS Team Member to investigate, and I’m not sure that can always be completed in 10 minutes.
With so many disruptive players in GW2, and the lack of enforcement has meant the game has become teeming with them!
I doubt that anyone at ANet is against the idea. The question is: how did LoL pay for it and can ANet do that too? My guess: they don’t have enough staff to make it happen, without slowing down the responsiveness of customer service elsewhere.

These are the questions I’d want answered, also. Any system that the players can abuse to the detriment of others will be abused. Perhaps, if it isn’t already happening, it would help if the ANet employee who hands out the warning/temp ban/etc. included the offending behavior in the communication to the infracted account.
If the current system is anything like the forum system, the “information” on why a post was infracted does not seem to be all that informative in all cases.
As potentially helpful as this may be, Anet’s just not big enough for this to be viable.

I assure you, I have. The worst it’s come to for me is lack of communication and people not listening(which really gets to me) . In which case, I immediately stop playing and call in some friends to make a team.
But as far as toxicity, yet to see a bad case.

Haha. I made the big mistake of stepping into ranked one day. Never seen so much screaming and so little playing before. It’s great if you enjoy drama, though.

You are VERY lucky if you’ve never been harassed in pvp, I’ve seen people tell other people they should commit suicide and other really really terrible things…I don’t even play as online most of the time so no 1 can whisper me with nonsense.

I won’t play PvP in this game because I just got so sick of the toxic people.
Lose a game? Get screamed at by people who tell me to kill myself.
Win a game? Get screamed at by people who tell me to kill myself.
So I just stopped PvPing.

Yea its pretty bad, usually if your’e not in the mood to argue with spoiled children who say really stupid things its best to just ignore them and go as off line cuz sometimes they whisper you then set their stats to offline so you can’t respond back which is very annoying . The worst part though is when they get the rest of the people on the team to chime in and start talkin crap to and about you…when that happens its best to report.
