Any trial versions?

My friend is looking for a new mmo to latch onto and thought this might be a game he could put his time into. I have heard about a free trial thing. Is that still going on or am I going to have to tell him “just buy it”?

Yes, there was indeed a trial period for friends during the Last Shores event in November. At the moment we are not holding trial invitations or versions and honestly I do not know when they will be up again, if they are ever again. In any case we will keep you informed beforehand, should a trial period arrives to GW2.
