Any use for shaman gear?
That stat combo is probably the least popular combo I’ve ever seen in GW2. I would not equip that weapon stat combo if it gave me +3,000 damage every time I hit because it would still be terrible.
I use that for my thief with condition healing build.

Hmm…a vampiric necromancer, an engineer, maybe a ranger? Still, it just doesn’t seem that good compared to most of the other stat combos out there.
Ok, I got the message. It’s as useless as i had thought. Given the presumable pretty low chance of getting an ascended weapon chest it’s a bit annoying that you can’t choose the stats in my opinion though. The way they did it, you might find one (so you’re lucky) and then end up disappointed because you’re not being able to make use of it (Can’t even sell it). The current implementation terrible reminds me of Diablo 2 where a lot of unique weapons had variable stats, so you could find one and still be disappointed because you found one with minimum stats.
I think I will find a “nice” spot in my bank for it, right beside all the other useful stuff like the watchknight tonic or those dragon firework helmet skins or the watchwork shoulders… Maybe, just maybe, A-Net comes up with better use than using the skin for transmuting or selling the item inside for just 1 gold to a vendor.
Edit: Just found someone with the same problem https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/What-to-do-with-unwanted-Ascended-weapons
My suggestion would be to make it an aquatic weapon. People tend to forget about this, but even if the stats aren’t what you would like in a terrestrial weapon just about anything would be better under water.
the blue will be pretty underwater
Otherwise, put it in that corner for the day when stats become more balanced .. I believe that conditions are being looked at soon, in terms of caps and such.
