I have a thief that I would REALLY like to switch to Norn, possibly Human, i liked it as Asura at first, but by 50 or 60, i was kind of bleh about it, but didn’t want to make my friends wait while i leveled another one up got 50, so i just took it to 80

i don’t want to really waste two character slots, but i don’t really want to delete the character and just delete all that playtime and exploration….

so…any word if race changes will get put in, seeing as how it would be a profitable thing to put in the cash shop, i know quite a few people that pick a race they like….only to find out they don’t really like it

It’s incredibly unlikely, as race is core to the personal story and home instance, as well as potential issues involving cultural armor.
I’m no dev, but ANet seem to put a lot of weight on the personal story being something that we can’t change once decisions are made, but a race change would totally screw with the first 3 chapters up to level 30.

It was stated somewhere earlier by someone from ANet staff…that race changes were either not going to be implemented (at all) or there was a meager chance of it but it was so low on the priority list that it sounded almost like it’d be 2020 before we got it.

I want to say it was a Community Manager or one of the Devs…there was a big thread about it a few weeks ago.
