Guild Wars 2

So, with all the talk of the Scarlet story coming to a conclusion in a few more patches, and the rumors that this could possibly be the end of the Living Story and temp content (yay!), I was curious: has there been any talk on the future of patches for GW2? Do they still plan to continue pushing out 2 week patches? Will they continue doing temp content, but just no more Scarlet stuff (boo).

I can’t imagine how amazingly huge and awesome the game would be if they pushed out PERMANENT content every 2 weeks. The past year’s worth of stuff alone would have been a massive % increase in the size of the game and amount of stuff to do. The idea that they could put out the same amount of effort into making the game bigger and more awesome is certainly appealing to me!

So… has anyone heard anything?

I’m not sure what rumors you have heard. Living Story Season Two will begin some time later this year. A big feature patch happens before Season Two and after Season One concludes. No mention that they will deviate much from the two-week release cadence. They will be separating story from features in each patch. The patches will have one or the other. They have said for awhile now (and have been implementing it) that there will be more permanent content released.

We should know more about what is to come in Living World/Story after this arc concludes. =)
