This is the first time I’ve been physically around to play during a LS/new content/whatever release. I’m excite.

Depending on where in the world you are the patch might not come tonight.

They don’t have a specific time for updates, but they’re normally mid-late afternoon Pacific Time on the day of the release, which is evening (or early morning) GMT/UTC.

I would recommend camping in a small quickly loading zone and then jumping to brisban after. The reason being that when they change a map they essentially make a new instance of it which your character is not in. This means you will load into brisban (old map) the game will say “opps that is not a valid map anymore” and will then re-load you into the new map, essentially making you load brisban twice. If you start off in a small quickly loading zone then you can port straight to brisban faster!

Edit: the patches also usually don’t come until 3-4 PM EDT, so you will have most of the day to play without the patch

Isn’t the patch supposed to come out tomorrow, approx. 6-9 pm?

The patch is at least 24hrs away, so you have plenty of time to do something else unless you want to be like an Apple fanboi camping outside an Apple store.

I think you have 28 – 35 hours to ‘camp out’. Better bring lots of water and food (condition-removing food, at that). Lol.

Anyone Else Camping out in BrisbanTonight?

No because :-

1) You got the wrong day!

2) Its a extremely sad thing to do.

3) There will be bugs, so your better leaving it for a few days anyway…

Also, a piece of advise, lower your expectations by a million miles, then instead of being disappointed, you will be presently surprised, if its actually good…

I agree with lowering expectations.
Most likely it’ll be grind to open a gate as a taster. Something like the how the Tower of Nightmares was introduced except more repetitive.

There will be a progress bar as to how much jungle we have hacked away. It’ll take us 2 weeks to do enough chopping stuff down to progress. The open world content will be a huge zerg of us bashing away at the jungle in the best PvDoor fashion

Logged out an alt in the very bottom left corner of the map in the ’empty space’. I’ll log in right on top of whatever is patched into that location... Or fall through the world.

They usually patch after 6 PM UK time so you still have at least 25-26 hours to go. Goodluck :P

Excitement, in moderation, is a good thing. Just stay open minded and thankful for whatever we get tomorrow. I’m hoping there’s a good amount of setup for the story.

Do you remember the name of the person with the commander tag? Add the name to friends list. They could be an Anet dev.

I believe there was a Breakout video on youtube some where, possibly on Wooden Potatoes’s channel.

I’m going to log in tonight and make a last ditch effort to try and change history by convincing the Zephyrites not to leave the Labyrinthine Cliffs.

Kusa was still in that area, just now. I asked him how he got there and he pinged an experimental rifle.

…it wouldn’t matter if he was camping out anyway. When the patch comes out it would force him out to patch it after a certain amount of time. Sometimes you get an hour, sometimes you get 10 minutes.
