I’ve run speedtests, played other MMO’s, and everything. The problem is not on my end as far as I can see. Every time I hit a skill there is a 1/2 – 1 second delay before it activates. The game is pretty much unplayable like this. I’m not complaining. I just want to see if anyone else is experiencing this tonight.

Yes, tonight it’s bad, but I’m lagging since the dragonball patch 3 weeks ago. And it’s driving me crazy, seriously =(

Yeah, took me an extra, extra, extra long time to log in tonight.

It got worse after this evenings patch.

Steam ogre was dead before fire elemental even spawned on my screen. Yeah, pretty bad for me, as well. lol

Someone in-game mentioned it might be a routing issue, so I ran the diagnostic (adding -diag to the shortcut target), and it gave me these results in the two trace route tests (omitted first 8 steps because those looked fine):

Curious if the other people with heavy lag issues are also getting routed through telia, and if the people who don’t have the problems, aren’t. If some others wouldn’t mind running -diag to check.

I’ve had no lag. I had two guildies with lag but one was due to Steam starting an update and the other thanks to the Blizzard launcher, so no blame to GW2 in their cases. One’s in the south, the other the midwest, and I’m mid Atlantic.

Makes no sense. I have a group of peeps I play with every night, and none of them are getting this. Yet, I just played an hour of Street Fighter IV with no problems whatsoever. Possibly a conflict between GW2 server and my ISP?

Possibly a conflict between GW2’s servers and a lot of ISP’s, seeing as how so many people are having the same issue.

I hope they fix it soon. I actually fell to my death tonight. But I got up and took 2 steps before me and my pet actually died. That’s bad!

Its definitely a something… I can barely play right now and I usually have a great connection… every ability I try to use has at least a half second delay, sometimes going as bad as even 10 to 15 second delay…

Any recent microsoft updates slow most pc’s down. Windows with running adds will slow you (I use Adblock Plus on both Firefox and Chrome to stop that junk). And indexing slows down games. I shut all indexing off.

I got lag when I played this morning but nothing that brought me to a stand still.

Lag is an understatement. My game won’t launch beyond the update screen since 2/26 evening. [downloading 0kb (0kb/sec]
Luckily I just bought Skyrim, got something to do.

Unless your computer is completely locked up or you’re still on dial-up, the problem ISN’T on your end. Lag occurs when the game server cannot process the incoming commands “on time” and they are buffered instead, making for a sub-optimal gaming experience.

For whatever reason, the GW2 servers don’t seem to be able to handle the load they could just days ago. Tonight the lag in WvW was simply horrible. There was even lag in EotM and I’ve never seen it there before. I haven’t done any PvE, but if it’s happening there as well it sure seems like they made some recent change and that change degraded the servers’ performance game wide.

Just checked this morning. The lag is gone. Not sure what that was all about. Hope it doesn’t come back.

Seen a few complaints all routing through the same node. Telia.net? In Atlanta, maybe?

I’m in the Atlanta area and had unbearable lag last night. Ended up quitting and watching TV instead.

Edit: nvm, Telia is a Euro carrier. I saw atl-telia, chi-telia, and dls-telia and thought Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas.

For the Euro players literally hundreds of traces show the frankfurt server being the start of the issue, and then all anet all the way.

Been going on for months, and the lack of solution/service is a disgrace.

Not just lag im getting disconnected every 15 minuntes.
