Just used up my 2 black lion tickets on getting the new chaos staff skin and chaos greatsword skin. I just have to have them. But now I regret getting the hellfire skins for my achievements, because the radiant skins match the chaos skins perfectly :-( anyone else wish they chose differently now?

I wish there was an opportunity to reverse the choice :-/

Yeah but to get the other skin will take me quite literally a year or two lol. May be easy for some to get 18,000+ Achievement Points, but not for me. I only JUST hit 11k AP yesterday :-/ and I’ve been playing since day 1 of GW2

I chose radiant because it was a refreshing change from all the flame-oriented stuff, and it amuses me to put my not-so-sneaky Charr thief in them. It would be hard to reverse now because of wardrobe unlocks, but if you changed your unlock choice somehow, maybe the other unlock would cost transmute charges instead of being free to apply- that’s one way to balance it.

Nope, already have both. And to be honest I find these new skins to be the worst they have released so far. Again, bleached level 10 skins with minor glowth? C’mon. At least the mesmer illusion weapons had an excuse for that.

Yes. The gloves.
I wish I had the Radiant gloves, but I’m about 3k AP away. :<

I foolishly went for the Hellfire gloves because I figures, hey, they’re a nice opposite to my Dwayna gauntlets from the HoM.

I’ve never regretted a decision more in this game.

Count me in the club. I even was looking for a way to change the hellfire gloves for radiant but no, there is no way.

No hellfire boots? I’m disappointed.

I’m glad I chose the radiant over hellfire because of easy access to flames. I did go for the hellfire helm, though, since the radiant hat looks silly. I don’t wear them, anymore, but they’re still nice to have.

Also, I’m probably going to get the Chaos Sword and Greatsword when the price dips. If you’re missing something about these skins, they’re legacy GW1 skins, with a tiny, tiny improvement.

Personally I went for radiant because I don’t really like the flames bit… but I guess it’s a tradeoff, you’re regretting getting the hellfire instead of radiant skins because there’s a weapon set that perfectly matches radiant, but there are three sets that perfectly match hellfire in the first place, two of which have been available since release:

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Destroyer_weapons
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Molten_weapons
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fused_weapon_skins

plus a few non set ones:

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

No hellfire boots? I’m disappointed.

Those are unlocked at 21k AP, Esplen.

Count me as regretting my initial choice of Radiant gloves and shoulders. I was way disappointed when I equipped them and the shiny glow started annoying me. When I got to helm unlock, I chose hellfire and love it. Got the gloves now, and I’m at just under 13.5k AP…

Funny I was joking with some guildies about how it is possible to become a walking lightbulb with that combination. Very bright and shining blindingly, and no little details or patterns.
Don’t get me wrong, I like shiny I like bright, but the chaos skins is a bit overkill for me. But to each their own.

Gor the question… no regrets… I chose radiant, but never use any of the parts… might aswell have chosen hellfire, but guess what… would not be using that either… does not suit my character.

Ironically, I regret choosing Radiant instead of Hellfire…different strokes for different folks.

I would’ve liked Radiant more had a full set not seemed so astronomically impossible at this point. 8k AP and I’ve played since day 1.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh my eeeeyyyyyeeeeees!!!!!

Anywho, I didn’t know you only get one choice every 5000 AP or something. I chose the radiant gloves first, then the hellfire mantle. I asked ANet to change it in since I’ve never used the mantle but no luck. Although they will switch it if you contact them within 24 hours with the exact time of your mistaken choice.

No regret at all. Never using either of them anyway. The hellfire glove might work on my necro but that is very minor since it is going to be mostly covered up anyway.

The only actual problem with my picture is that shoulders, for some reason, love to be huge. If it was scaled to my character size, it wouldn’t be so bulky on a MEDIUM armor profession.

That’s why I regret getting the radiant pieces first, the shoulders look way too big.

I always wanted to have some sort of battlemage, so this were the perfect fit for my Sylvari Elementalist… figures the shoulders take up too much space :/

They are Throwback to GW1 weapons, the Chaos Axe looks almost identical to the one released in GW1. Same as the Tormented skins from awhile back. The key difference is they had to improvise some of the looks since there are more weapons in GW2 than there were in GW1.
