Ever since yesterday and the patch I have been getting so many instances of really bad skill lag. I’ve also been getting complete disconnects from the game even though i’m still connected to the internet. I’m still able to visit webpages and I’m still connected to mumble while I’m getting disconnected.

Anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just my internet being wonky this week because everyone is off from school and people have spring break and people probably are on vacation from work?

Just the opposite skill lag has improved a lot for me with the removal of culling. Its one thing anet have done right with this patch.

Well it isn’t just happening in WvW…It’s in all aspects of the game. But it seems to be happening more during the day and it gets better as the night goes on. So that is why I’m thinking it’s just a bandwidth issue on my end where my bandwidth is low because of people being you know off from school on spring break and such.

Maybe my house just isn’t getting enough internet “juice” because the service in my area is being overloaded or something.

For the first time since yesterday I am also experiencing skill lag outside of wvw. Every other mmorpg game I play is running normally

I was discussing this over in WvW yesterday, apparently “Server lag” is the acceptable answer – there was a bit more to it at the time.

What I’m wondering is if skills are presenting in the correct order of initial keying after the lag – eg press 5-5-3-1 do you see the animations/effects come out 5-5-3-1, you’d need to refrain from mashing to see the correct queing.

Feeling bad due to my response does not mean it was a personal attack.
It may just be that your original statement was wrong.

That is a lot of weight on some very narrow choke points in the back on the intertubes, plus would assist with explaining the geographic clustering that seems to be at play.

Guess Anet broke the internet and not server after all.

About mid day my game became unplayable due to skill lag and has been for hours now, cant say i enjoy it in the least. I would argue it could be my connection but every other game i own has zero problems it just seems to be Gw2 which is a real bummer when you wanna play.

I may be harsh but i care deeply about the game.

I got same problem.
All my skills have 1-2 seconds delay (but my FPS always stay 60+), and I am frozen and d/c like every 5-10 mins. It never happen before yesterday’s patch.
I tried to reset modem and router but it won’t help.
The game is totally unplayable for me now.

I was killed twice yesterday by weird lag preventing me from being able to move or act (I had no conditions on me, and wasn’t knocked down). Kept rubber-banding back to the same spot again and again until I died. It was not fun in the least.

There’s few things as frustrating as dying when the controls are not responding to you in the way they should.
