My main has a full set of berserker ascended, and I’m working towards ascended for my other toons, but sometimes the stat set you get doesn’t match any of the toons or is kitten.

It sucks that the box can only be sold for 3.2 silver to a vendor. I wish I could just flip it on the TP, but at the end of the day, I understand why these items are account bound and I wouldn’t want the ascended armor becoming as common as Legendaries. I wish you could at least get a couple of Gold out of the vendors (cheap kitten vendors man).

Anyways, anyone drop their Ascended Armor boxes? How’d it feel. I don’t want to let go. sob

I have yet to even see any ascended anything drop…so, no i havent, i mean i guess id love that feeling though…. Psych, they should allow it be traded for another box of ascended stuff i think, or allow it to be salvaged for a random amount of the T7 mats.

One day they will be tradeable and you will regret this day.

Agree with you there. My daily Tequatl spoon sells for higher than an ascended box would. If at least they’d give you a gold for it, haha. I like the idea of salvaging it and getting a bunch of T7.

I hope you at least open the box for some random part selling for 1G.

I did a thread about it earlier. I just keep my boxes and hoping for a change. Would love to see them tradeable, or, at least, to get another (sellable) option (like an ascended insignia or anything).

I have once gotten a box of ascended armor with rabid stats and gave it to my condi mesmer.

If I got an ascended armor box with a stat I didn’t use, I would most likely come up with a build that works with it. For me It is not all about the meta, but about being able to think outside the box. 3.2 silver is quite low though, but I would never throw it out or sell it anyways as you never know what changes the future holds, but I am also a bit of a pack rat.

Ascended armor boxes are technically valued as the total cost of all the materials needed to craft it. However, its actual worth is based on the player and the build(s) the player has equipped. In the rare situations that I get an ascended armor or weapon box with a stat that I have utterly no use for (Magi items, I’m glaring at you), I tend to unlock the item skin so that it counts for the collection and then I toss it out. It’s a shame the items can’t be salvaged for materials for crafting other stat combos.

I only play heavy class so i used those amror boxes with stats that i dont use, to unlock the medium and light sets for the collection.

I’ve only ever gotten one and it was Knight, which I didn’t need. So I picked Light Armor chest for the collection progress to save me money. I already have a set of Heavy and Medium for my main classes that I crafted and don’t really play any of my light ones as much outside of spvp so I been wanting to finish collection off drops. Unfortunately the rate is insanely bad for me.

I’m really lucky that the only asc armor box I ever got was a Zojja(zerker) one, but I already had a full medium asc set and also all the materials for a heavy asc set, so I’ll use that chest for a light armor, if that chest was of other status combo useless to me, I would open it just to unlock the skin and be a step closer to complete the collection.

Ah the problems of the 1%. Ive never gotten a single ascended weapon/armor box, so i do not have this problem

That only works for Ascended Weapons. Ascended Armor merch value is unfortunately not 1g.

I just save the chests on one of my characters in hope that they have some practical use in the future. I don’t do fractals so I don’t have anywhere close to how many daily fractal runners have.

Doubtful. Most ascended stat combinations would be worth less than 10g if tradeable.

Salvageable makes more sense than tradeable.

The other day I got an ascended armor box drop (yay). But then I saw it was Magi stats (boo). So, I picked a skin I didn’t already have unlocked, and then I vendored the armor.

I just unlock a skin I don’t have, then NPC it.

I understand them being non-tradable, but I don’t understand why they haven’t made them salvageable.
