Anyone manage to get super skins from chest?
Ive had a blue this year. I usually get a couple of chests from the festival, which is fine considering they are purchasable.
Never had an orange drop though, didnt realise they dropped
Was confused for a second there.
So far I got one chest for a blue skin, no orange ones yet.
Orange is extremely rare, blue is fairly rare too. I have had years where I didn’t get any and most years I got 1 or 2. And that’s playing almost every SAB day.
Ingame Name: Guardian Erik
The rarity is pretty silly. It’s like they kept the rarity levels from its first release but forgot they changed them from being able to be farmed on a per character basis to per account. Would love to see that fixed.
Last year I got an orange and about 3 blues.
So far this year, I’ve gotten two blues.
I had no idea there was a chest that dropped super weapon skins. What chest is it?
I believe its the chest you get from defeating an end level boss.
Doesnt work if you play in infantile mode.
I got 2 blue skins from those chests but no orange. Didnt even knew they could drop.
I got another blue this year. No Kaiser (tradeable) yet. They are dropping.

Thanks man, I had no idea they dropped valuable things.
Yeah, I got one box, and sold it off because $$$ >>> skins I am meh about, and can earn account-bound versions of anyway.
To compare drop rates between two years, we need some actual, you know, rates. How many chests did you open? How many skins did you get? If the drop rate is 5%, we’d need data on 500-1000 chests to be able to compare across two years.
Doing 6 normal and 6 Tribulations daily everyday including all of last year SAB, I’ve only managed to get one blue skin so far.
Also if Anet doesn’t add something more worthwhile next year for the vets of sab, then I most likely wont bother doing this event next year. I’m basically doing this for a drop I still haven’t been able to get and building up a lot of bauble bubbles and tribulation tokens.

I mean in the original release when it was per character, and there wasn’t a trib mode (that was added later with back to school), i recall getting ~5 skins, from farming it on 2 characters.
Doing it during back to school release i got 0 (this was the patch that changed it to account wide)
During last years festival 2 blue skins 1 Kaiser.
During this one so far 0.
This is my first year doing SAB, and when i killed toad for the second time i got a kaiser weapon skin box. Still dont know which skin to choose so im just going to hang onto it for a bit. Too bad i cant sell the skin….that would have been worth it especially after seeing the RNG part of getting it to drop. I thought it would be something more common but looking at the kaiser prices still high, i doubt theres many of them dropping

That’s still too little data to guess at drop rates (especially since it appears that you’re comparing 2-4 weeks of previous years results to less than a week from 2017, even after discounting “recollect” from keeping tracking of results).
This doesn’t mean you’re wrong; it just means that there’s no evidence to back up the claim.
Humans are demonstrably poor at estimating odds, especially when it comes to keeping track of ‘good luck’ compared to bad.
It seems plausible to me that the drop rates for the original SAB (pre-trib mode) were changed for subsequent releases. After all folks would expect “better” rewards from the more difficult version. All the same, we can’t guess at the rates without data.
Just curious if anyone did manage to be lucky to loot any Super (blue /oranges) skins after completing any zone this year.
If so, this RNG drop rate is worst than getting Aetherblade weapon skins
I’ve gotten both this year, and on normal mode.
I got orange last year, and blue this year. I’ve been targetting daily quests this year, plus the world 2 weapon skin achievement. I think I have opened maybe 5 boxes this year. I feel that I got very, very lucky!
Two days ago I got a regular weapon box drop, and yesterday I got another regular box, plus both my son and I got Kaiser Snake boxes. All random RNG from different levels.
