AoE Zones Customization?

Let’s be straigth to the point: will Anet eventually consider adding customization of AoE zones displayed on ground? (player could select color and/or texture/style of zone limits to suit his preference/need from a game option menu of some sort)

4% of world population is color-blind (8% of males, opposed by 0.5% of females). I must not be the only one in GW2 to be massively (to stay polite) annoyed by the lack of difference (for my handicaped eyes) between the different AoE zones. Half the time I dodge out of boon areas, and the other half of the time I stay inside ennemy fire zones.

Then once I am dead and a good samaritan is healing me up, I get a ‘’you should dodge out of AoE zones’’ protip from the guy rezzing me. I have no idea why did I not thought about dodging this in the first place, I guess I must be dumb or something! (sigh)

Anyway, I have no idea how much effort would be required for such an addition to the interface, but it would be very nice (and I know I am not alone in this boat). My hopes are not too high, but you can’t blame a guy for asking.

(if it is simpler, just make my toons immune to AoE at all ;oP )

Ally aoes are white, and enemy aoes are red. If anything, the rings need to be more obvious.

Then Red, Blue, Green are taken by faction circles when capping points in pvp/wvw. The new filled in red aoes from recently changed bosses is a huge step in the right direction.

I played a game (can’t remember what it was called, was a long time ago on the PS1) that had white AE circles for allies and black for enemies. They were very easy to see and distinctive without being overwhelming. I keep hoping to see something like that make it’s way into GW someday.

Edit for clarity: The circles were not solid. They were more like the translucent red circles we saw at Assault Knights and Holo Prime in intensity.
