It was hilarious, yeah. Not bad for an April Fool’s joke, and definitely memorable (Great Jungle Wurm, the Dolyaks in WvW, pretty much every Charr in combat…) But I think it’s not a fault to ask for a way to turn it off before it overstays its welcome.

How do you get a headache from looking at a big head? lol, just wait a day if it bothers you that much. Kind of ruins the spirit of the holiday if people can just opt out of a prank.

but anyways, you could try setting your computer’s date forward to april 2nd. Or back to March whatever. It seems to be client side.

Disappointing. But it’s probably because from a technical standpoint, Zhaitan is more like a moving piece of scenery like an airship rather than an actual “creature”.

Only disappointment so far: no giant racoon head (I assume because there aren’t any other racoons in the game, so they didn’t have to give the mini a separate head).

Well… Arpil 1st will very likely be over before they could implement what you are asking for, so I guess you only have 2 options:

• use your time for playing the game and ignore the big heads that only last one day
• keep raging on the forums while missing out on the obviously limited time you have to play the game

I wanted to list a 3rd option like “enjoy the joke from ANet’s side”. But obviously that’s not an option for you…

Also, just to not make Jabberwock erupt in righteous “you’re a stupid” fury, I made sure to set it back to Apr 1.

I THINK some people have a type of Coulrophobia(for the lack of a name for it).

If you really need it off change PC date/time to something not 31st March, or 1st/2nd April.

This is what April fools’ jokes are supposed to be. It’s a prank not a new feature or something like that.

I said it gave me a headache. Too much motion going on with all the bobbleheads, and me eyes naturally reacting to said movements, equals me getting a headache.

And I won’t move my computer ahead or behind on the dates. Because of some other programs I use, work related, that need to have the correct times on them for me to get paid.

no change. our theory was that he’s terrain – untargetable – so not a animation that is affected by this (just like how boulders and doors aren’t bigger).

Try adjusting your settings to lowest then log out and back in. The bobble head did not show for me until I put my setting to higher.

So i was trying engineer for the first time. Thought something was wrong with my game at first then i looked at the date on my phone. Oh, anet you cheeky kittens.

Work Partially around the bobble head like….

Go to Zone you want to play. turn off client and log back into the game = Normal Heads
you can teleport within the zone around all you like.
then you switch the zone completely you will have big heads again until relog.

not perfect but better than not playing for 24 hour because someone was thinking this cra…stuff is fun …

or set PC time to 3rd April or later..

Lol hang on. Apparently I spoke too soon. Your character screen stops showing bobble-headed characters – s’why I had thought it worked fine – but as soon as you get back into the game, everything is still bobble’d.

I love how the characters have their head tilted back when running forward. I laughed so much!

My Warrior looks ferocious with the new look, hahah!

You’re right, I’m going to have to withdraw my previous suggestion. It must have only been a fluke that I got it to work once, related to the bug Devard described.

Verified, even setting back to March 30th doesn’t work. I imagine there is some sort of flag placed on your account upon first witnessing it.

Still, it seems I randomly get no bobblehead every first login when changing the date. So you can at least try if it is bothering you.

System restore points don’t help, either. Pretty sure it’s not client-side, at this point
