It’s still funny. This really brightens my day! Great work here. This captures the spirit of April Fools perfectly. It only lasts one day so enjoy it while you can! Our whole dungeon run stopped to laugh and take pictures. It was great. I saw tons of people out flocking to the world bosses to take a look.

You know… There’s hating the ability to disable it and there’s going a little too far. Sure, I hate it to, but I would hardly call it power abuse. It is just a little bit of April fools fun for people, which, unfortunately, people who don’t want it don’t have the ability to turn off. Poor judgement? Sure. Power abuse? Hmm… That’s maybe stretching it.

What is funnier, is that your name is sunshine. =P

Also if your screen is fully bobblehead, you might want to zoom out on your character. I mean, I generally play zoomed out the whole time.

The notion you can’t play the game because of a big head is a bit strange tbh.

Nobody is saying the prank sucks just asking for a disable feature this isn’t complaining, this is a suggestion. Complaining would be this: “HAY ANET Y U NO HAVE EXPANSHUN BUT PUT OUT BUBBLE HED THIS DUMB” There now that’s a complaint. Which nobody is doing.

The thing is, while it is a bit of fun for a lot of people and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, people who want to play the game without it should be given the option. We’re not trying to dampen the fun for others.

whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired for being a pillock and not understanding the point is to make people look foolish on April fools day, which is achieved by making them look credulous by playing a prank or making them believe something absurd.

Not to make people actually “look” a fool. A literal interpretation that misses the point entirely.

Please let us turn this kitten off, its not funny and its not clever, its very annoying and appeals to people who’s sense of humour has not progressed beyond toilet humour and kitten jokes.

It’s just for one day, guys. The majority of the playerbase finds it hilarious. Certainly the people in the wvw community. A whole bunch of bobble-heads beating eachother up.

Try logging on a character that hasn’t had the bobble effect first.

Maybe because it doesn’t adversely affect you so you could causally say that. For a minority of us who feel sick after playing the game, it isn’t a prank, this ruin the rest of the day for us. Depending on your condition, the side effects may last for a few hours.

Log out then log back in on a different character if you hate it so bad.

It’s probably too late to make the request possible, so I will add my 2 cents as a suggestion for next time.
This prank was loads of fun. It is incredibly original and did a great job at catching me by surprise. I am very pleased with all the amusing screenshots I have now.
However, as has already been noted, it isn’t fun for a good portion of people after a prolonged period of play because it has a possible side effect of causing headaches and nausea. I find the idea of offering an option to toggle off the effect once a player has had their fill of the fun to be a very solid suggestion. By default they could leave the effect on, triggered by login/play during the 24 hours of the April 1st holiday so that anyone who enters the game gets a chance to experience the prank. Also including a toggle off option would then allow players to resume normal play once they have reached their own personal level of pleasant satisfaction with the experience without ending it for others who are still enjoying it or have not yet had a chance to see it. I think the upper bar of icons where you can find the inventory panel, hero panel, trading post, etc would have been a good place to put a little button the player could click to turn the effect off and on. Doing that would have made a good prank into a great one. =) I for one am already looking forward to next year’s April Fool’s Day. If Anet puts as much amazing effort into it next year as they have this year and apply the feedback they are getting this year to next year’s, it is going to make for an exceptionally fun day!

The bobble-head change seems to be constrained on the character you logged in that had it first. Logging in to alts which wasn’t affected yet seems to not make the effect appear. Just a tidbit.

Honestly, if you guys hadn’t been paying attention to the fact that it’s April Fools and are ignorant of ANet’s history of pulling a joke every year, it’s you’re own dang fault. And so is your lack of a sense of humor. I recommend you get one from the gem store ASAP!

This is why I’ve suggested Anet get a Chief Reality Testing Officer. They obviously can’t do it themselves.

THIS!!! This is why I love this game so much! You can argue the fine points of the game, of what it’s lacking and what it needs to do all you want, but when it comes time to just enjoy something for pure fun and entertainment, ANet knows how to poke fun and laugh for the sake of laughing. Nice work, guys! Love it!
