Not sure if this has been suggested before, but…
Why not let players keep their aquatic weapons stowed as a cosmetic when running around land as well? When the player enters combat, the skin changes to the equipped land weapon. Once they leave combat and stow the weapon, it changes back to the aquatic weapon.
I had a look at trident and spear skins recently, it’s a kitten shame they aren’t displayable out of water.
