I’ve been wondering for a while is it possible to solo champions or dungeons I have an ele and have tried multiple time and have failed miserably can someone help if they have find out a way to do this

For me, it depends on the champion. The Wolfmaster in Wayfarer’s is very easy. The Troll in Caledon is a bit harder, but still solo-able. I’ve never tried to solo a dungeon, but I know there are plenty of videos out of others who have done so.

As for soloing champions there are quite a few that are soloable at least for a lv80. Most champion spiders should be soloable since they are mostly melee with telegraphed attacks.

Which weapon set are you using and what have you tried fighting?

In my experience, story mode can be soloable if you are pretty capable (you’ll probably die a lot either way while you are learning how to deal with things solo). But it will be slow. Same goes with some of the paths, but that will be even harder then story mode. I’m not sure how Ele is entirely at soloing a lot of things, considering most that I see solo some dungeon paths easily is Warriors, but I’m sure its possible with the right setup and some dedication.

Champions are pretty easy to solo, not so much level 80 champs on a level 80, those can take a while (but still possible if you get a easy one). But low level champs are super easy on a higher level character that is downleveled. I really like soloing the golem that spawns at the camp in Metrica Province near the Reactor. Its pretty simple and easy to kite IMO. Theres quite a range of champions out there, some are quite a lot rougher then others thats for sure.

I didn’t try champs solo on my Ele before 80 that I can recall so I can’t say if that is a issue. But I can imagine it being kind of rough. But I have used almost entirely staff since launch on my Ele as I just find I work better with the range of skills. And can easily solo a lot of champions with that range of skills. Though scepter and daggers can offer just as much, if not more, just require you to dodge a lot more. It may also be a bit dependent on your gear. I run a 50/50 berserker/soldiers armor and accessories and I find it does pretty good. It offers me a good enough hp pool to survive my failing reflexes and enough damage to stay above par. But in the end, I think these things still depend on your playstyle and what you are comfortable with.

Yes, I think practically all champions in open world are soloable. The hardest ones are in Orr of course. If you are lvl 80, go to frostgorge, you should be able to solo all champs there. But you might have to guest to a small server to avoid champ trains. You can practice on the low lvl champions first if you are having a hard time with them. Dungeons is a whole different ball game. You have to be crazy good to solo dungeons.

try SEp1 for dungeon. The bosses there don’t move much and have very clear tells for their skills. Plus, there’s only one legendary boss so the fights don’t get to the point of being tedious. It’s more fun to solo/duo this dungeon than to do it in a party (it’s too faceroll).

I just soloed twilight arbor up on my ele yesterday, it took a long time but it is possible. Some paths aren’t possible though such as cof1 due to the requirements of multiple things being done at once
Also for open world champs, the only ones I can’t do are the krait hypnos’s in mt. maelstrom and timberline. I am not sure if anyone else has ever done them either (no vids on youtube except some for the witch in timberline but she has recieved major buffs since then) they are pretty insane.

Well the easiest 80 champion is the MARK golem champion in ORR if you bring projecitle reflect you can do like 11 k noncrit reflect… but the easiest champion overall is one in that charr starting zone a ghost champion that spawns when you interact with a torch. it takes like 5-6 backstabs from a balanced roaming thief.

I’ve soloed lots of champs but the only dungeon I could solo was on my Ele in AC story mode.

Pretty much LoS pulling, using glyph of storms in earth magic, combined with the 5 seconds of invulernability from obsidian flesh + FGS to melt most foes. Hardest part was the vassar and whatever her name is

That witch was indeed soloable but they boosted her in a patch. So was the Champion Baroness at Cursed Shore (since nobles were improved, she’s super hard to solo.)

Annoying but soloable: Risen Giant. It is the grubs who can be dangerous en masse, rather than the giant itself.

Underwater Blood Witches are hard to solo because their hard hitting attacks are too frequent (IMHO). Perhaps my Mesmer could, but my Warrior couldn’t (Mesmer Trident + clones are an amazing thing for underwater combat.)

The Blood Witch at Caledon…I hate it but soloed it last week with bleeding as my level 80 Warrior died. :P Guess we soloed each other out. Too bad no one answered my call to arms against her and had to do it solo.

I hate all the Shark Champions (Risen or otherwise), so I haven’t tried them in a long while. Their Rush can be sudden and hard to read amidst the particle effects. Otherwise, I don’t remember other underwater Champions being too tough to solo.

Risen Priest of Melandru-dangerous, I have never soloed it (usually run out of dodges at some difficult point.) Plus it regens, so even with two it may be too hard to actually kill.

Risen Broodmother: easier on water than above ground (ironically.)

All slow Champions are easy, it just takes time. Fast Champions, such as the Baroness (and her flies horde), are an immense pain to deal with, even with two people.

Champion Eye of Zhaitan is risky. I have damaged it enough, but I eventually run out of either health or endurance. Surely someone must have soloed it.

I think it’s a fun challenge to try which one you can or can’t solo on the PvE map. Also they are often good training to try new builds and see what works differently or doesn’t work at all. Also they put all of those “PvE map is faceroll easy, any build works” comments to shame, because it’s really not true 100% of the time.

I don’t like Dungeons THAT much to relish a similar challenge there solo, though.

(Some group events Champions at Cursed Shore are ridiculous-doubt they could be soloed easily even if they were available outside these events.)

I can solo the Giant in cursed shore with my ele. It just take way to much time…

hardly remember it but i guess it was at that golden area at malchors. from that point southwest at the water. don’t worry its a land creature

Story mode is a cinch except on Elementalist. Too many mobs for one little boneless bag of bits.

Some champs are soloable. I solod the giant in Nageling (Diessa) with my ranger. Others, no chance.

Easy peacy :o as Mesmer at least. Block what ever you want, stability with stunbreaker and condition remover for fearprotect, infinite vigor from passive – couldn’t be easier o.O

The main problem will be vigor for other classes, I just know that the necro has no vigor trait but how about others?

There are several places to find them, 2 that need to be fought on land, 1 that can be fought on land or in the water and a few that can be fought in the water. They are much tougher on land but I have done them both ways. The locations on the 2 land ones are Crusted Shoals in malchors leap and Winterknell Shore in cursed shore.

I would like to request going after the krait hypnoss in mt. maelstrom in the mire sea near the vista. I am curious to see if you can get it.
