I was reading a convo some people were having and one guy said without doing map completions you won’t be able to craft my end game gear EVEN if I’m level 400 in that crafting skill. Is this for real? It doesn’t make sense to me why exploring all the parts of the world is required to craft end game gear so that’s why I’m confused

D/D Elementalist takes no skill but is good at everything in the game.
Mesmer is unfun to play against and does everything better than thieves.
Hoping those two get gutted with nerfs

100% is only needed for Legendaries as far as I know. I haven’t maxed on any of my guys and there’s nothing I can’t craft.

Fire up the Hyperbowl ma, we’re going to town!

Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?

You only need map completion to make legendaries, and legendaries aren’t required in any way. Getting 100% map completion gives you gifts of the traveler (two for each character that completes it), which you only need to make said legendaries.

And, honestly, it’s cheaper to buy your level 80 exotics with dungeon tokens, as long as you run dungeons.

OK good because I don’t feel like map completing some of the maps since it got boring looking at the same place for so long

Wait you haven’t reached level 80 or haven’t reached level 400 in crafting? If the latter, how? because I thought the point of getting to level 400 was to be able to craft end game gear

I don’t have 100% map completion.

If by crafting end game gear, you mean you want to craft your own Legendary weapon rather than buying it off of the Trading Post, then map completion is required.

Map Completion gets you 2 Gifts of Exploration and you need 1 Gift of Exploration per legendary weapon you wish to make.

But if you just mean Ascended (which has the same stats as Legendary weapons, you just don’t get out of combat stat swapping) gear, map completion is not required.

Ascended is the end game gear but you’ll need level 500 for that. And as said, 100% is only for legendary.
