Good afternoon! I’ve been playing my warrior more and more and I’m growing tired of casting For Great Justice every 25 seconds… one of the features of my Razer Naga is the ability to write macros… it’s not a special 3-rd party app… just a feature of my mouse… but I don’t want to get banned if ANet thinks it’s a bot… can someone please let me know if a simple “cast every x seconds” macro is illegal? Thank you and I hope we can get an official answer on this…

I currently use a Logitech Keyboard feature to highlight all interactive items and characters/enemies.
I don’t see why you would need to spam it outside of battle, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
This is my opinion however.

Sounds illegal. It makes your gameplay easier by removing the need to check the skill’s cooldown. Also removing the need to move fingers to press that button.

I think the ones they probably ban people over are the timed ones. I’m not sure however it’s never been clarified that I know of.

I think it would probably have to be timed? But I’ve never really used macros before so I’m not even exactly sure how to set it up… I’m assuming it would somehow have to repeat every 25 seconds? Would that technically be illegal?

Hello everyone.

eXs, we actively discourage you from using that device for it may be considered illegal as it offers an advantage over people who do not use it. For more information about our official policy in Third-Party programs, go and check the following thread.

Thanks!!
