Are there any plans to add a gem store item that converts soulbound items into account bound ones?

I would really like to remake one of my characters and transfer his unlimited tools to the new one.

The question is how much is it going to cost and will the item be a one-time use or unlimited use. The cost needs to be lower than what it cost to just buy a new item.

I have to admit… I don’t get this.

Sure, I generally create and destroy a character 3-6 times in the starting instance to check every detail of the model under ‘real’ lighting before committing.

After that, that character is forever. I sure as heck don’t attach $10-$30 dollars of gear to a character I have doubts about…

No, there is no plans to add such item (as far as I’m aware anyway).

People has been asking for it for a long time and we got the “Transmutation Splitter” which can be used for similar purpose but is useless for items like the unlimited gathering tools or for trinkets.

And for the cost, maybe 400 gems for 1 (one time use of course). 1 Transmutation Splitter cost 300 gems and only work with armor/weapons and you have to do a little trick to make it work as a mere unbinder.

Why fix the Necromancer for free when we can charge $$$ for the Revenant

I can already hear Nuka Cola: “The unbinder should have been cheaper than 50s and unlimited use! And account bound!”

I have multiple characters with the unlimited tools. At the end of the day, the rush factor of temporary sales can effectively “force” a purchase for a character that I think will be my main, even if I’m not entirely sure.

(Also, it was through gold -> gems, which has somewhat less value to me).

Nothing is forcing you to bind that perma-tool to a character. They sit in your bank just dandy.

What? Once they’re soul bound, you can place them in the bank, but only the character it’s bound to can remove it.

Would be nice, or better yet make them account bound by default instead of blatantly trying to milk the playerbase into buying multiple sets :/

good thing I have 1 main. (the only logical thing in GW2)

Back to WoW, make GW2 fun please.

Meaning you can buy them during their limited windows of availability and not attach them to a character until you’re sure that character is a keeper…

This is one of the most alt-unfriendly games out there lol.

They need to add an item like this.
