As Anet continues to back out of everything they pledged to make this game in the beginning, patch after patch such as this leveling change

Does it not start to seem like we are no longer the players or fans but just labeled as a mere consumer to them.

I feel that anet is putting there faith in numbers and statistics too much, like this unwanted leveling change.

What does everyone else think

That anet does not listen to feedback and knows whats best for us?

Or they have been doing a good job with changes in this game.

And before says my build doesn’t work, when Ele’s get nerfed it will be -Schwahrheit

I remember the days back before GW2 launch, when we were still playing GW1 and they announced that GW2 is in development, scheduled to be “ready when it’s ready” because, you know, it needed a lot of “polish” …
Well… I also remember someone, in an interview, saying “We bet our company on this game”.

Kline dear, this community membership is just an illusion. A PR stunt. You and I and every other player in this game, are CUSTOMERS. Your term though, “consumers”, is indeed the much better choice here.
The difference between the two is obvious: the “customer” usually gets the product he required while the “consumer” only gets the “as-is” product.

In most SANE cases the product is designed following the customer’s needs/requests/specs.

Why am I telling you this ? Well, in the end, the customer decides whether his money were properly spent or not. And, of course, he also decides whether to spend more on the product or not.

Do you understand now ?
(don’t answer, I know you do)

NCSOFT is Arenanet. NCSoft only considers us as consumers, particularly retail customers. They want us to keep coming back so we continue to buy more from the store, but not so many that the upkeep degrades profits.
