I think that that a topic relevant to balance once the ability to switch quickly from WvW builds to PvE and vice versa will solve many problems with many builds. But i posted it in this thread just in case.

I doubt it where it’s kind of blocked with that silly tiny money sink.

Well then why not add a fee each time you switch a template?

they arnt here to make things easy for us most the time. Money is the real deal. Why do you think they introduced the instant trait reset? Instead of just giving us 5 set templates to put 5 builds on for each char to pick through. Only money matters man so dont expect too much. Only the rich ppl(in game) can afford to stack up trait resets its not for the poor.

You ask for somthing that was in gw1 you will get a black lion version of it in a weaker form.

well why then dont they sell the template at gem store for a quite high price?:P obviously the proftis wont be the same but still

some kind of template saver in the gem store would be a huge deal instead of those completely cost inefficient trait restorer

I would rather see at least 2 trait templates for the default setting. One for WvW and another for PvE. And if people want more, then the gem store could provide more.

Yes. For a low low price of $9.99 for 5 trait save slots.

People seem to think that Anet are putting these sort of improvements into to store but they are not. The wallet was free. A separate trait set-up for WvW could be free as well.

I’ve been holding out hope for something like this for a while. It needs to be comprehensive though; we should be able to swap everything – Gear (Armor, Weapons and Trinkets), Traits and Skills when we go out of combat easily like the Rune and Masteries pages in LoL.

This would add a lot to the game. A chance to test out PvE and PvP builds without manually re-traiting every time. I think a lot of players play all content with their most commonly used builds, because it’s just too inconvenient to make changes every time.

Allowing the gear swap allows for both cosmetic and stat changes, something I’m sure most of the community would appreciate. Everyone wins – ANet sells more transmutation stones and armor skins and those of us who dig cosmetic progression get to dress our toons up.

Since gear is attributed to stats I rarely change my build at all. Some havn’t changed since launch for certain characters. Although, for those that like to mess around and have money to have different sets of armor and trinkets etc I could see this being handy.

It’s amazing that we still don’t have trait templates. It’s amazing that we have a UI that’s pretty much uncustomizable. GW1 had both.

i sleep and dream about that.

I would throw money at the screen if they ever added the templates to either buy at gem store for each character (small price) or account wide unlock (bigger price)

One reason I very rarely go to wvw with my mesmer, is because of the lack of trait templates (portals and veils aren’t as useful in open world pve, you know…). And it would be nice to have at least 2 templates for each toon. one of dungeons/pve and another for pvp
