with as little that was done to classes (heck the necro got 4 bug fixes) I have to wonder if this is Anets way of saying classes are fine and don’t need to be touched besides bug fixes.

They’re not saying that at all. That’s just something you’ve read in to it.

usually every other MMORPG i have been around and trust me i have been around just about every major release. when patch day comes around there are tons of class fixes whether it be buffs or nerfs.

the only time you see ONLY bug fixes is when a class is considered fairly balanced. with a big company like Anet and only us getting bug fixes this tells me to them the classes are fine where they are.

id actually rather have my class (the engineer) be buffed than any class be nerfed.

People have been wanting bug fixes for quite a while. Anet focuses on nerfing every other class Theif and Warriors and buffing them so at least if Anet considers it balanced the gap won’t get wider.

They did get buffed. Kits now use a damage formula that registers as if it is hitting with the top quality weapon attainable for your current level. Not game changing nor something that reealy needed to be fixed, but a buff is a buff. I was really hoping for grenade auto attack personally. It’s a pretty good kit to use, but I refuse to spam 1 to the point where my finger breaks off.

Anet has stated that they do not want to change professions drastically, but to change them slowly over time. This way, players won’t feel so hurt when their build gest nerfed, as it will only be small.

Not to mention January is the smallest of the upcoming patches.

I’m glad they fixed the whole equipped weapon stats thing for engineers, but I wouldn’t mind if our support role was made stronger. I’d like to better and more easily spread boons around to allies.

The devs have already stated they want to fix all existing bugs in all of the classes before they do any major adjustment as far as damage/redesign skills/whatever goes because there’s no way to know if a class (or a certain skill) is really weak or over powered if a bunch of other skills don’t work at all or work but aren’t doing what they should because of a bug. Once all the classes are bug-free then you can go ahead and expect buffs/nerfs but until then just expect a lot of bug fixes and minor tweaks here and there.
