Kaimoon Blade – Warrior
Fort Aspenwood
Every time I read through the forums I see so much moaning, complaining, crying, many dummy spits and wild conjecture. If all this kind of thing was done to anything I worked for hours upon hours on and did my best on, I would be a complete and utter wreck!
This isn’t some faceless corporation, there are real people behind all the work that gets done on this game, so I just wanted to let ArenaNet know, I think you guys are doing a heroic effort! It’s inspiring too see the level of dedication and passion that the ArenaNet employees put into their production and I just want to say the biggest of thank you’s and encourage you all to keep doing your best! It’s really showing, Guild Wars 2 is one of the most beautiful games I’ve seen and the gameplay is refreshing!
If anyone here would rather complain, please use one of the many other complaining threads, let’s try and keep this one positive and encouraging.
OP, I agree completely. As a software/systems engineer myself, I know how difficult a software project of this magnitude is. Congratulations.
Anet – you guys rock! I love GW2. Keep up the good work.
I love this game, wish I could play more than I do, can’t let a game run my life, but this is by fare the best game ever, when I do get a chance to play I enjoy every second of it. Keep up the good work on the most awesome game ever
I appreciate that you try something new and set your goals high and that you work hard towards reaching them. I also appreciate the positive vibe you try to maintain wherever you deal with your customers. Thanks and happy holidays!
I spent the most delightful evening running the Scavenger’s Chasm jumping puzzle in Malchor’s Leap with a friend of mine tonight.
I was mesmerized by the otherworldly beauty, stone worn smooth by the waterfalls, the oubliette-like holes, the carvings on the rocks, listening to the desolate cries of birds and distant bombings as we worked our way through the intricate paths.
The game truly is a work of art. Thank-you.
I must say. I completely agree with OP on this. There is a massive amount of kitten on this forum with people always complaining about bugs and mechanics and whatnot, when they don’t seem to realize that these issues take time to deal with. Also to all those people who have spent more time making the game then anyone who is playing the game (which I am pretty sure is all of you). Keep up the good work. You have succeeded in making one of my all time favorite games. Congrats and don’t let all of these naysayers get you down!
Seriously? o.0
I bought the game, play it daily and i’m here. Isn’t that appreciation enough?
Anyways, Happy Holidays to Anet.
Anet is doing a great job, thank you!
This is the only game beside FPS game that its able to gather up my closest buddies to play together, no matter tends to hardcore or casual game play, all of them find their own satisfaction in GW2!
Yeah I personally love this game! The best is that people think this game is going to die! ROFL!
there are some issues with GW but every kitten MMO has problems. This game by far, has been extremely beautiful, thought provoking lore, fun events, challenging, and you can tell the artists and developers work hard on this bad boy! I love how you guys are trying to improve the game and seriously, I can only see this game improving every month! Good job at working so hard Anet!
I’m 100% with the OP. This really is a great game. ANet has been pretty good in my opinion in addressing the problems the game has and has been utterly fair about compensating the players when it’s been needed. The awards GW2 has received as of late tell the story clearly enough that this game isn’t dying anytime soon, despite the caterwauls of the vocal minority.
The art alone makes me wish I could be on a story writing team for this game just to tell a story based on some of the scenes I’ve stumbled across.

I have my share of gripes with this game, but I appreciate and am awed by all the effort ANet put into GW2. I hope this game keeps on growing. Thanks to ArenaNet for all their hard work! C’:
Freaking LOVE this game! Been playing since the first beta weekend. I played it a ton when it finally came out and quite honestly, I burnt myself out after hitting 80 for about a month. However, once I got back in at Nov and playing it at a slower smell the roses type play style, I have had fun logging on every day I do. Playing never feels like a chore, although admitidly, the daily and monthly have sometimes bugged me because I felt the slight nagging feeling of obligation, but it is still nice to do them to earn a little more scratch.
Can’t wait for the fire and ice patch!
Guild Wars 2 is definitely a fabulous game, IMO. I’m very pleased to see how well it continues to do. There’s so much to enjoy about this game and I’m looking forward to seeing what the staff has planned for this new year.
I’m glad this thread got brought back! ArenaNet need positive feedback to help them fix all the negative stuff!
Well… they probably don’t need it but I’m sure it helps.
I’ve always said, “Does yelling at someone making you a burger get you the burger faster? Probably but it’ll also increase your chances of finding a loogie in it.”

Welcome to a video game’s official forums.
Even single player games are like this, don’t worry it’s normal, but with MMORPGs it’s different because a lot more people play them regularly.
Anyway:
Thank you Arenanet for a game well done
This game is close to my favourite game of all time. That title, belongs to GW1 atm. But GW2 isn’t far behind, only thing keeping it back is its lack of content, but with the new reward system for achievements and such, it’s definitely going to take GW1’s spot
Can’t wait to go back to other zones instead of WvW and dungeons everyday.
I’ve posted on a few things I wish were looked at, but I’ll gladly join in an appreciation thread too. It’s an amazing game, and you can see it’s been made with genuine dedication and love.
I too want to post hollow, unhelpful, back-side kissing words that do nothing but try to invalidate constructive criticism from paying customers!
I’ve written essay lengths of constructive feedback in the Guardian forums, yet I also feel the people behind ArenaNet need encouragement with their jobs. Why would I try to invalidate myself?
You say we’re trying to invalidate constructive criticism? Firstly, you’re trying to invalidate people attempting to encourage the people in charge of fixing the game, secondly, there is a vast difference between constructive criticism and crying. I never mentioned that posting constructive feedback was wrong, you’re inventing strawmen.
Paying customers are also entitled to convey their appreciation of the product rather than complain about everything wrong. There is already SO MUCH negative feedback, constructive and otherwise around here already, why ridicule any efforts to at least make their days better and to feel their work isn’t wasted?
If you worked 1000+ hours on something and all you did was read page after page of people saying how broken it is, regardless of if it actually was broken or not, would it not make you want to just give up? It would probably have that affect on me, that’s for sure.
