@ Arenanet Sorry Im a big Fool
Welcome back! (This message is from your fellow player. )
Yep, when I feel this game is too annoying to play, I play another MMO. It doesn’t take long for me to make my way back here.
Welcome back OP.
Hey NoobStar,
No need to apologize. We all need a break from time to time, that doesn’t necessarily mean the game is bad. I think GW2 is great, but I still need to step away once in a while. But like Vayne said, I have yet to find another MMO out there that can compete with GW2, so it doesn’t take me long to come back.
Glad to see you back in the game and enjoying it to such an extent
Welcome back, we kept the lights on for you

I also recently returned to GW2 after looking around for another MMO to play. But alas, ArenaNet have spoiled me so much I just can’t play any other MMO these days, even ones I played for years before GW2.
It’s all ArenaNet’s fault.
Anet has done a lot of things right with this game.
Heck, I’ve been hooked to the franchise for 10 years now. Sure, I play other games too, but I always come back to Tyria.
They must be doing something right.

I can see why a lot of people would want to quit the game right now, as there is close to nothing being offered to players that have done all current content. I’ve considered quitting probably for the last year, just general lack of content for me but hopefully it’ll be better once HoT is out.

This soo soo much, i used to play a LOT of Rift before GW2 (had a max level rogue tank in early raid gear when i stopped that), and really enjoyed that game back then… trying to go back and play it, i just cant stand the combat or anything on the most basic level, and same with a couple other MMO’s i used to enjoy
Welcome back! Your English is quite understandable and perfectly fine.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
Welcome Back!
I’d always thought that the game calling me back would be that other big MMO, chilly as they are. Nope, Guild Wars is what I come back to.
I’m very happy I found GW2, and my breaks are shorter and shorter. Like the OP said, Thank you ANet!
Stuff! Stuffy stuff stuff stuff!!
Yeah, it’s a pretty game.
Shame looks are only skindeep.
I’ve been playing since launch, with a few breaks here and there, and I do understand why some people get burnt out. It’s impossible for any game to hold your committed interest for that long. Plus, once you get into the habit of a daily routine of farming, quick dungeons for gold, or just logging in for daily chest, it can feel like the “soul” of the game has slipped away.
Today, I decided to just do something fun and polish off my Maguuma Explorer achievement. I had 166/167 completion, so I wasn’t sure where that last place was. While it was fun to revisit some familiar maps and just have a look around, in the end I had to look it up. It was a rather obscure place in Metrica Province called “Calx’s Lab.” There’s a specific event chain that activates an asura gate so you can warp there.
After 2+ years of GW2, and having earned 100% world map completion long ago, there are still places I have never seen before, and events I’ve never done. It’s times like this when I get a distinct feeling of awe, like “My god, this game is amazing…” I’ve never played another MMO that gave me quite the same feeling.

Oh man, ain’t that the truth. Not that other MMOs are completely terrible either, but if there is anything that makes me appreciate GW2, it’s playing other MMORPGs.
Yeah, it’s a pretty game.

Shame that there always has to be one to throw that jab into threads like this…

I think trolls should have their computers smashed. ’Its all part of the game. U mad bro?’
The combat system is probably one of the best, dynamic events are a interesting and nice touch, everything else is really standard themepark MMO.
Decent game for what its designed for, but nothing that would cause literal tears. Lets not go overboard.
OP, you’ve melted my icy heart just a little Depending on when you left, we might possibly have broken Lion’s Arch a teeny tiny bit while you were away (sorry), but we kept your seat by the Giant Moose head for you

I think the fact he continues to frequent the forums speaks louder than his comment.
Don’t think anyone is crazy enough to invest that kind of time into a game that only looks good and has nothing else going for it.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

Well while it is only one “thing” the combat system dictates how the whole games is played and as such affect the whole game
Welcome back!

Hello @ all,
Thank you relay mutch for your lovley responses…
I also took a break, just recently came back from a 6 month pause from the game. The reason I left is cause I didn’t like the direction the game had took over the previous year and quite honestly Anet had made some pretty bone head decisions. I don’t know what happened between then and now but they seem to have dramatically shifted their plans and I Ike the direction they are taking now. It almost looks like some people got replaced by people who know what they are doing.
