Arenanet housing system please :)
I love is the wardrobe system because it gives me time to do something i enjoy, play dress up and everyone loves it. I’ve played the game since launch and the only update that i enjoyed the most is the wardrobe system, can yall add the housing system now so we have something fun to do other than grinding. This game has emphasis on cosmetic so it makes sense for us to have houses to spend time in and you can even sell housing items in gem store for income. Please make the game interesting by adding things that we can spend time in and enjoy time spent, instead of mindlessly grinding gold for things i don’t even want COUGH plant back item*COUGH*. Anyway please add housing system or something we’d really enjoy like the wardrobe system!
No – just no. Another thing that is useless and does NOTHING to help the game forward.
Just like mounts, it is more a ‘Look at me!’ feature than a feature that drives the story forward.
The wardrobe was put in to help alleviate the issues with skins – it makes them easier to use. What would housing do like that?

“help the game forward” Means what exactly? I enjoy the cosmetic side of gw2 which is why i play it instead of a grind orientated mmorpg. housing system would be a huge time sync into the game, it’ll give people something to do, people can visit each other houses, they could add plenty of things into a housing system. I cannot see any cons besides other parts of the game not getting enough attention but that isnt a good enough reason to not implement a potentially good feature.
I cannot see any cons besides other parts of the game not getting enough attention-
That is a perfectly good reason, sir.
We already have home instances that we can add nodes to, and invite people to.
They should be focusing on the depth and balance of the game and its professions at this time. Having a game so largely pushed to be competitive that gets sparing balance updates and then unveiling that they were working on player housing would be a silly blunder on their part.
Make sure people have plenty to do. When they have a long chore list and are almost to the point of bemoaning not seeing the end of it, then, maybe , some thought can be given to housing.
We already have a home instance though.
Zarin Mistcloak(THF) Valkyrie Mistblade(WAR) Kossori Mistwalker(REV) Durendal Mistward(GRD)
I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.

How exactly does it alleviate the issues with skins? From my experience it caused issues. We can no longer move upgrade items from one piece of gear to another which makes you screwed if u buy any gear that can’t be salvaged. I would like to get rid of wardrobe if it means we get that back.

I totally agree that they should be focusing on the depth and balance of the game but they arent? i mainly WvW, they havent addressed the main complaints about how the point system is flawed among many other things. I’ve given up on the depth of the game besides living story but living story is only 4 hours long every 2 weeks. Housing system would be something to do, just like the wardrobe is something for people to do that isnt a tedious task.

Housing, if done right, could be something to give people a lot to do. You can spend
a lot of time doing maybe stuff that gives you housing items as rewards, or craft
stuff for yoor house. That would also work as a sink for materials like wood and ore
so harvester are happy about higher prices.
Also having a house that you can decorate makes me feel even more connected to
the world.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I would love to have something i can see grow, get better something i can improve on, proper housing system could provide it. Would also love something i can work with guild towards, some place where guilds can hang out etc, guild halls could provide it.
As for pushing story forward it’s so poor, so extremely poorly writen that as long as they won’t change the person responsible for it which sadly won’t happen i couldn’t care less about the story.
