Removing the stat bonuses to ascended items.
Period. Isn’t that what the majority of us wants? So people still do not need to feel inferiour anywhere else in the game, and the people who want to do that dungeon (and any dungeon that comes from here on) which requires a specific resistance to a environmental mechanic in there, get their extra stuff. And this extra stuff is only specific for THIS dungeon. If you want to go to the next, you switch your infusion upgrade. I’m fine with the mechanic, apparently a lot of others are too.

But seriously, Arenanet? Remove the attribute bonuses and a lot of people WILL shut up. Right?

Personally I love the pink color. No matter what is and is not changed, in my opinion they should definitely keep it.

Yep if they remove the stat bonus things will be fine with me. Its the only thing i have against it currently.

Remove the stat bonuses and all of this goes away, players stay, people that wanna grind in the new dungeon can grind in the new dungeon while people who don’t, don’t have to in order to stay on par.

It’s a simple solution.

I like the ascended items as it is.

Again. Forum does not represent the majority. I tend to see human nature that players only come-by forum if they have something they displeased about. Hardly players come forum to post good feedbacks if they’re pleased in-game. Therefore, forum is like a site of complaints – or a plague where players gets influenced by reading negative comments which makes him adapt the negative perception. It’s why it’s not opinions of “majority”.

From my in-game experience today, no one seems to talk badly about the ascended. I saw quite several positive talks about the ascended while I was crafting and TP.

I am inclined to disagree, I also see good things happening on the forum. This is also human nature. We take good things for granted and exaggerate on the bad things.

Forum definitely does not represent a majority, but a solid trend. When I ask in my casual guild, the high majority of them says no to extra stats on ascended items. Even asking the serious players I know say “thats not what I came for in this game.”

Everyone I ask outside the forums agrees with the removal of attributes = all fine.

I talk about sixtysomething people and hardly any of them check a forum. Make the test in your guild and your friends who play guildwars who are not as forum savvy. I’m curious what comes out.

I wish more people would state their issues with the patch as simply as that, instead of going all “Boo hoo this patch sux imma gonna stop playing now”

And to the subject, yes i wouldn’t mind them making stats par with exotics on those, but then again i don’t have nothing against it either. Only thing people have right to be concerned about those stats are possibly their impact in WvW, nothing else. In pve that small stat update doesn’t matter.

Well, pretty much everyone I talk to in the game does NOT like them. Most of those players came from GW1 which had a hard item power cap, which might be relevant. I also doubt that most people in-game read the blog post or considered the consequences the new tier will have.

Yeah I tried that this evening and everyone seems happy about the ascended equipments. I’m in a big guild, one of the mains in crystal desert. They came from different mmos. My guild nature is active and dedicated. Few of them gotten their legendaries.

You know they don’t even have to do that.

If they were truly interested in keeping with the balance of the game and making the game NOT about dungeon runs, AND if you can get the ascended armor for tokens to buy it (which makes it nothing like what they did in GW1) then all they have to do is add an recipe set for each armor type with the same stats to the crafting to keep the balance. The game was NEVER supposed to be progression solely thru dungeons. It cuts off content from a large portion of players and breeds a community based on discrimination.
