Arenanet, you promised....
Arenanet doesn’t force you to do world completion, that’s your choice. How’s that against their promise?
Could this be the beginning of Arenanets very own promised-me-a-pony meme?

This I quote.
ArenaNet never ever forced you to do 100% map completion, that’s your own choice. World completion is not needed to succeed in the game. If you wanted to go for a Legendary, It’s your own fault because ArenaNet said from the beginning that getting a Legendary will require to visit every area in the game.
They don’t force you to complete world-discoverey… like it or not, the WvW-World is part of Tyria/the world of GW2 and its just logical that you have to discover it to see the whole world.
Second, looks like they work on that kind of “problem”, many ppl complained to visit fractals for the monthly-achievment. Soon you can choose what you want to do for daily/monthly(?) achievment (choose 4 out of 6 possibilities). Maybe they rework world-discovery too?

Quoting this for truth. ArenaNet has never said that exploring the entire world is a PvE-only experience; you don’t need to do it to be successful in PvE; you can explore the entire PvE world and be rewarded for it (less than if you explored the entire world, of course, but that’s obvious – exploring more gives more rewards).
