Armor skins!
There are nine sets in Gem Store, and while I’d like to have more added to the game, I’d prefer it to be in-game rewards.
Don’t get me wrong, I like finding more reasons to throw money at ArenaNet, but I’d also like for there to be more cosmetics to work towards in-game. Also, I know there’s gold-to-gems, but I’m referring to playing content, and not grinding for gold.
I’d prefer more armor skins ingame…. You know, that i can earn by playing? This isnt a f2p
Power Creep took priority.
smack..Wut?…smack…smack…
There is a lot of skins in game to work for and I agree there should be cool ones to get just by playing. I just think having some more in the shop is a good idea. I want to support this game but there isn’t anything good to buy.
What is power creep?
while i’d love to see more armor skins, you gotta remember how hard they are to make (in comparison to say back pieces or weapon skins)
you need to model 5 pieces of gear on 10 different race/gender combinations.

The real question is why isn’t there medium armor identical to GW1 Assassin Kurzick and Luxon armor in the game, period?

I’d trade in every back piece skin we got for an armor skin. And honestly, with how some armor look on Charr and Norn (even not fat norn), they don’t seen to bother too much with the modeling for it to be any sort of valid excuse.
In fact, I’d prefer if they fixed some of the armor skins (those that aren’t well fitted for other races, or those where textures are way too flat) then creating new ones. But since fixing old armor skin isn’t something they ever plan on doing, I’m left with hoping for new ones.

Or perhaps chuck the whole transmutation system and instead offer wardrobe slots, that can be bought pr character just like inventory bags.
I agree- this game needs more armor skins.
In the shop or in the game – at this point I don’t even care. I just want more heavy armor that my warrior can wear. I loved having tons of sets in GW1, but in GW2 I only wear T3 cultural since the rest look terrible.
Give us back the sets that we loved in GW1. Give us Elite Templar and Elite Platemail.
Hope Anet reads this.
Even if they don’t bring back GW1 armor skins ( which would be a totally bad idea since many like me would be willing to pay a lot of gems for them) they should ADD More skins. It HAS to happen.
What is power creep?
“Power Creep” is a reference to the phenomenon where the maximum power level of something goes up over time. People like more powerful things, so game designers will often raise the bar with new content, like raising a level cap or introducing new, more powerful abilities.
In this game, the introduction of Ascended gear, is the primary example of power creep, since it’s strictly more powerful than Exotic gear, which was the old top-tier for equipment. Power Creep isn’t entirely bad, since it can give players something new to strive for by raising the bar, but it’s frequently treated negatively, since it means the old “best in show” gear is going to be made obsolete, and not all players who geared up for exotic are willing or able to deck themselves out in ascended stuff.
