Does anyone know if Anet plans on bringing back the ability to acquire the skins for the Deathly Avian Mantle and the Tribal Walkers?
I know the Avian Mantle can be purchased on the Black Lion, but the prices it’s being sold for are a long ways out of my gold amount. I looked them up and apparently they were only available during the Halloween 2012 season.
As for the Tribal skins, I found that those were only available in PvP/WvW, but are no longer available to acquire at all.

So, does Anet ever bring old armors/skins back? Whether they be made available in the gem store or through regular gameplay, I’d be interested to know either way.

Avian Mantle was released with one of the Living Story Season #1 sections. Most likely will not return, instead can be purchased off of BLTC (although for extremely high amounts!).

Tribal armor has been said by the developers to return at some point in time, but they haven’t decided when yet. It was -originally- a semi-exclusive skin to sPvP only (from what I recall). I think they might return them as a possible reward to a WvW season or something (~crosses fingers~).

The exorbitant price of the Avian Mantle did indeed sadden me when I saw it. Guess that’s all the more reason to save up my gold.
As for the Tribal skins, I sure hope what heard is true and that they will make a return.

I don’t have a link for you, but an anet employee did post confirming all the old sPVP skins will return, just no ETA on when.
