Now that dungeons are not worth farming, I’m stuck with a huge zerg of 80s running from champ to champ in Queensdale. Lord forbid you kill a champ out of the order they are running in. Lots of “nice” comments in Map chat if you do.

Chat was worse before the champ farm there if you ask me. Now that everyone is s busy running champ to champ it’s kinda mellowed out. You get the occasional kitten but you had that regardless.

Well, if my experience today on Borlis Pass is any example, there is now no chatter allowed on Queensdale /map chat if it doesn’t pertain to the Champion farm. Not at all a pleasant atmosphere.

If WvW is any indication of how the server is in general, I’d say get the hell out of that server, because it’s full of jerks and crappy people. In the very likely event that WvW isn’t a good indication, I’d say just keep talking in map chat and tell them “Shove off” whenever they start pulling that “map chat only for champion farming” crap.

PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil
WvW Main – Ghost Mistcaller – Herald

I run a lot more dungeons now than before.

Vocal minority.

Evidence? I don’t run them ALONE. lol

Your achievement rating alone places you in a very tiny minority.

Sure they do. But again, I can NOT run dungeons alone. I get four other guildies to go with me. Often people ask me, because they know I’m always willing to help out to fill out a party.

But the point is, three people in my guild are over 10,000 achievement points and 120 people in my guild have less. We aren’t pugging, almost every dungeon run is completely inside the guild window.

So even if you discount me (one of the other two isn’t really a dungeon runner), you still have an increase in people in our guild (most of who are casual), running dungeons more than before.

I thought the rewards were raised to 50s on Story, 1-3g on Explorable? Which depending on how fast you run it, gets you both the champ loot, and gold at the end.

Unless you’re referring to the drones who sit in CoF1 all day, I can’t say I’m not disappointed with that update. They were getting rewarded FAR too much just for grinding all day, compared to those who just like to play the game.

Still waiting for the things I love about GW1.

I really like the champ farm over the dungeon farm. No elitism, if you die/down no one will QQ much…

Yeah, they’ll just ignore you instead for fear that their DPS on the Champion will go to low for participation credit. :/ (I know that’s what I’ll do from now on after getting nothing yesterday on the Wasp Queen in Queensdale because I figured I’d spend my time helping others up who were downed fighting it…)

Sorry, didn’t read the entire thread.. just fyi.

This was happening before the Champ lewt was changed :P The shift to loot bags has actually brought the map chat rage down (from my experience), strangely. Sadly this has funneled more players into QD or FQ (Frost has the most horrible MC out of all.), so of course you’ll see more a-hats.

We should run troll groups that do the rotation backwards so the champ farmers are left with nothing and they rage like mad.

It’s been a bit since I’ve seen rage from champ farmers, tbh. It’s usually just a bit of frustration with trying to get the circle going again. I’ll admit to getting frustrated when the circle is broke though, if I’m doing my daily :P (not in MC of course)

Dungeons are instanced areas, and making this the most profitable farming location will make the world feel empty.

The drive for dungeons, should be that they contain some unique loot you can only get there, and completing all branches atleast once. They should not be the main location where people farm gold.

The champ rotations are very bad though.

They should make rewards, such that the most profitable is to roam the world in small groups (3-6) completing unique events across many maps. Event completion resets after doing, say 1/4th of all events in the world. More challenging areas should reap better rewards.
