howdy,

those who have the ascended backpacks will be aware that when they were initially adding to the game. the defensive or offensive infusion slots meant only the different in price of purchasing the agony resistance from the vendor in the fractal (sure they were both +5 but had different prices). so most players went for the look. didn’t change stats for outside the fractal. i.e wvwvw/openworld pve.

they then changed it so there was only one infusion stone that went into all slots for the backpack and both rings. gj there anet. nice correction. i mean that.

however i am now slightly baffled by the addition of the new infusion stones which are limited to the type of slot on the ascended item (defensive/offensive). when players like myself have already crafted (at some cost) one of two backpacks which had no stat difference to begin with but now limit us to a choice of three out of the six available stats.

i understand there maybe a means to limit players slotting too much of one particular stat on their gear (i.e the two unique rings being only offensive and defensive. predicting that will be the same for the ear rings). but either i’ve completely looked over how to get round this (anet are aware and are working on a solution or what i thought was the case, is not) or there has been unintentional mistake in development.

is anyone from anet able to leave a comment or is the gw2 community help me out on the subject?
