Why can’t we change stats on our ascended breather’s to Maruader’s with the Mystic Forge like other ascended armor?

See attached image. If I choose Berserker’s insignia, it will allow it, however, in the screenshot I have a Marauder’s insginia and the breather is greyed out.

Do want recipes for stat changing for rings, amulets, accessories, & back pieces

I also inquired about this I think about 2 months or so ago and someone replied that Anet knew the issue and is a known bug. I don’t if he was telling the truth because until now, this issue has not been fixed.

I read the same thing — they were aware of the issue.

I hope they do not fix it and instead devote their time to eliminating breathers as armor. There’s no reason for us to need a 7th rune and a 7th piece of armor for what little water the game has. Turn it into a skin and let players who crafted the ascended versions trade them in for a helmet, pair of gloves, or pair of boots of their choice.

I’m not as aggravated by this as I am the utter lack of exotic breathers in the game. For that matter gear drops in this game are terrible.
