Ascended: Carrion and Valkyrie

Devs, both myself and large number of other people within the GW2 community would greatly appreciate some sort of Dev response to the question of whether or not Ascended Carrion and Valkyrie gear will be released.

The reason it’s important for some of us to know is, because If the answer is YES:

This would also allow a great number of your customers to proceed with their current builds without wasting any Laurels for different Ascended items that they never needed to get in the first place, because they now know that Carrion and Valkyrie are going to be released (as well as saving myself and others time in trying to re-invent our builds). So a simple “yes” (even without a fixed date or time-frame), would be hugely appreciated by a great number of your customers.

But even if the answer is NO (or “maybe”):

A simple no, or maybe (“maybe” as in, perhaps in the future, but not currently planned)would still be hugely appreciated, albeit, disappointing. Sure, a “No or Maybe” would no doubt result in a 150 post thread of QQ and over-the-top posturing by the usual folks … but so what. Because if there is no response at all, eventually that QQ thread will appear anyway, just a month or two months from now, and the QQ and ridiculous comments will only be that much greater. But if in fact it’s going to be a no, then you would be doing me a great favor in letting me know now, instead of later, thus allowing me to make the proper adjustments to my character build and current playstyle.

So Devs, please, give us a heads up on this issue, because I know you guys read these threads, or at the very least skim through them a bit.

I agree with this 100 percent. This morning when I walked over to the laurel vendor to check out the new stuff, I had so much excitement to finally get going with Carrion ascended gear. When I saw everything except Carrion (and Valkyrie) were added, it was the first time I was actually angry with Anet.

To me, this is absurd. I hope they implement those 2 before the next patch. Pretty sure I am the only one left in my group now that is still waiting patiently to get started with equipping ascended stuff that I actually want lol…

But yes, please please PLEASE let us know if they are coming down the pipeline next month!!! I really don’t want to change my build, spend laurels, and run Fractals a bunch to get a set of ascended especially if its a build play-style I don’t enjoy as much. If i do all that and carrion gets released later I will probly rage-flip my desk over. Get back at us, ANet!

This has been addressed with a few threads, they’re coming out the next major patch.

I’m still running with Exotics Carrion Rings, Amulets and Backpack (Ghost Eater hide, Power+Condition+MF instead of Vit) because I love my Carrion gear.

Current Condition Damage Ascended Gear are mathematical wastes as Precission is VERY poor compared to Power (even with Max Critical Damage, Precission is still super poor compared to Power, it’s only good when you already have maxed power so in condition builds it’s a total waste).

Even with Sigils and Traits to get extra bleeds on Crit, Precission+Condition is still a complete waste of stats from a mathematical standpoint.

Please a-net, give some love to Carrion players, and to all those other players missing their favorite stat distributions.

It serves to contrast Berserkers, mixing with it to make it look more like the PvP version of Berserker and don’t die instantly.
