Will the new ascended gear only be obtainable with the Laurels? Or can we spend pristine relics like the rings?

Better yet, will any of the new content be available by spending relics?

Er, I dunno about relics, but since Arenanet already openly apologized for making the first set of Ascended gear open to only dungeon runners, and no other style of play, so I can’t see them making the same mistake for only open world players and no other style of play. Chances are, the new ascended gear will be available to all current paths as well.

To answer your question Blackmoon, I think I read somewhere the new amulets will only be available using Laurels.

Ascended amulets will be laurel exclusive.
